On July 1st, 2023, Da Nang Mikazuki Japanese Resorts & Spa inaugurated a pedestrian bridge crossing Nguyen Tat Thanh Street, the lasting symbol of the harmonious relationship between the two nations, to mark the 01-year opening of the Mikazuki Hotel and to celebrate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan.
This bridge stands almost 13 meters tall and over 140 meters long, with a floor area of approximately 655 square meters. The Mizuhiki knot, a traditional Japanese art knot-tying, is depicted on both sides of the observatory leading to the bridge, exemplifying the strong friendship between the two countries.
The architecture of the building draws inspiration from the undulating waves of the sea, instilling a sense of lightness and serenity and seamlessly blending with the surrounding landscape. Additionally, the installation features two observatories and a steel spiral staircase with an elevator, providing easy access for individuals with disabilities to ascend the bridge.
