Within the framework of the forthcoming 5th Asian Beach Games (ABG5), the International Conference on Tourism and Sports will take place at the Novotel Danang Premier Han River on Saturday 24 September.
The event is being jointly organised by the United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO), the Vietnamese Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Da Nang People’s Committee.
The international conference, which has ‘Cooperation on Tourism and Sports for Mutual Development and Friendship’ as its theme, will be attended by around 4,300 invited guests. About 4,100 of them are representatives from relevant Vietnamese agencies involved in the tourism and sports sectors, whilst the remainder are foreign guests.
Discussions will focus on tourism development trends in combination with sporting activities, the mutual relationship between tourism and sports, and their vital role in ensuring the sustainable development of a country.
In addition, the participants will share their opinions and experiences in developing sporting tourism products, and on how to effectively advertise those products which include golf, adventure tours, climbing, and beach tourism.
