June 10, booking platform Booking.com announced the latest survey on the most favorite domestic and foreign destinations for Vietnamese this summer. Beach tourism is still the leading trend when coastal cities reach over 50% of bookings.
According to Booking’s Travel Forecast 2023, 74% of Vietnamese think travel is always a worthwhile experience, 78% believe summer is the best time to travel. Vietnamese tourists are apprehensive about the global economic situation but have no intention of giving up their travel plans. However, they consider budget allocation for travel more carefully such as taking advantage of deals, travel tips and choosing when to travel more wisely. 74% of respondents prioritize using discount programs.
The survey results are based on the number of people searching and booking on the Booking app from April 3 to 16, with check-in dates from July 1 to August 31.
Country Director of Booking.com in Vietnam Varun Grover said that Vietnamese people are eager to plan a summer vacation this year is “a good sign”. “We hope to make it easier for people to explore the world and enjoy the unforgettable experiences we get from our journeys,” Grover said.
