According to the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the city is expected to welcome 212,837 visitors during the forthcoming Lunar New Year Festival, up by 16.5% compared with the same period last year.
Of this figure, the number of foreigners is likely to rise by 15.9% to an estimate of 78,703, whilst the number of domestic visitors is predicted to climb by 16.8% to an estimated 134,134.
In addition, the city is likely to welcome 18,870 international air passengers during Tet, up by 29% compared with the same period last year.
The city will also receive 3,300 foreign passengers from 3 cruise ships, arranged by the city’s branch of Saigontourist and Viet Nam-based Destination-Asia tourism companies. This figure is up by 3.1% from the same period a year ago.
