Ba Na Hills put hiking train into operation

The advantage of this type of transport is the ability of moving gently through the rugged terrain. On June 2013, Ba Na Hills has started the construction of pull cable to Ba Na called “Hiking Train”.

The system of hiking train can reach the speed of 5 m/s, moving on 400 metres rail, transportation capacity can be up to 1,600 guests per hour. This route is going through the landscapes such as Linh Ung Pagoda, Le Jardin gardens, ancient villas…

With hiking train, visitors going to Bana can enjoy the view of the beautiful landscape of nature comfortably and smoothly. Whether the elderly or young children can still enjoy the view or visit the destinations easily and safely.

This type of transport was used in the late 15th and early 16th century in Austria. It was used to transport goods and materials to the high court of Hohensalzburg Castle. Until the second half of the 19th century, this new type of transport was used for urban residents. Not only Eurozone countries but also other continents had applied this transportation to the mountainous and rugged terrain.

After the success of the cable car of Toc Tien – Indochine which achieved 4 world records, the opening of the first hiking train railway in Vietnam once again reaffirms the development of the unique business of Ba Na Hills in particular and Danang in general.

Ba Na Hills has selected a well-known cabling manufacturer partner from Swiss, Garaventa. Garaventa cable system has widely applied all over the world. They are able to build in the city, countryside or on tugged terrain. The advantage of this type of transport is the ability of moving gently through the rugged terrain.

Bana Hiking Train will be available on 26/4 at Da Nang.
