On 8–9 August 2026, at Tan Thanh Fishing Village Market, Nguyen Phan Vinh Street, Hoi An Tay Ward, Da Nang City, Tan Thanh Beach Village Festival 2026 – Tan Thanh Block Fest 2026 will take place under the theme “Sea Festival”, celebrating the rich and diverse cultural heritage of Quang Land, from the coast to the mountains, while connecting destinations, expatriate communities, visitors and local residents.
The festival is a true community-driven initiative, created and brought to life through the collective efforts of local people. It is organized by the Tan Thanh Fishing Village Market Management Board – a founding member of the Quang Land Destinations Club under the Da Nang Tourism Association – in collaboration with Blue Sea Star Co., Ltd. and members of the Tan Thanh Fishing Village Tourism Community, with funding mobilized entirely from the community.
From what began as a small seaside market, Tan Thanh has evolved into a “Cultural Hub – Connecting Communities,” where local traditions, regional products and the stories of diverse communities come together. The festival creates a cultural journey linking Da Nang’s coastal and mountainous areas, Hoi An with the broader Quang region, and local residents with domestic and international visitors.
The programme will feature the participation of many outstanding destinations, organizations and communities, including the Hoi An Center for Cultural Heritage Management and Preservation, the My Son Sanctuary, the People’s Committee of Tra Van Commune, Dong Giang Heaven Gate Ecotourism Area, Dai Binh Ecovillage, Bai Say Song Dam Ecotourism Area, Loc Yen Ancient Village, together with artisans, artists, tourism businesses and local communities, all showcasing their unique cultures and products.
The festival is expected to host 80–100 booths featuring vintage goods, handicrafts, homemade products, OCOP-certified specialties and local cuisine. Visitors can also enjoy cultural experiences, street performances, community activities and family-friendly programmes. Interactive activities such as painting traditional conical hats and areca palm fans, handicraft workshops, sailing experiences with Hoi An Flow on Tan Thanh Beach, and dance performances by FitOi will allow visitors to immerse themselves in local culture. The market is designed around the principles of being local, safe, environmentally friendly and low in plastic waste, while also serving as the launching platform for the “Green Market of Quang Land” initiative initiated by the Quang Land Destinations Club.
The festival also provides an opportunity for communities to exchange experiences in developing community-based tourism through discussions on community tourism, local values and green destinations, strengthening cooperation among tourism destinations and practitioners across Da Nang and the Quang region.
The Tan Thanh Fishing Village Tourism Community and Tan Thanh Fishing Village Market have been recognised with the ASEAN Community-Based Tourism Award and a 4-star OCOP certification. Through Tan Thanh Beach Village Festival 2026, the community continues to affirm its tourism development model, placing local people at the heart of tourism, valuing indigenous culture as its foundation, and fostering meaningful connections as its core principle.
The festival is expected to welcome around 1,000 domestic and international visitors over its two-day programme. More than simply a vibrant seaside celebration, it aspires to become a long-term gathering place for communities, destinations and travellers—where every destination shares its own story, every product reflects local identity, and every participant becomes part of a larger journey of connection.
