In July 2026, Da Nang’s tourism sector continued to record positive growth, with more than 2.2 million visitor arrivals served by accommodation establishments. Of this figure, international visitors accounted for 852,600 arrivals, providing strong momentum for the city’s accommodation, food and beverage, travel and tourism service sectors.

Visitor Arrivals Surge During the Summer Peak Season
The total number of visitor arrivals served by accommodation establishments in July 2026 was estimated at 2.2299 million, up 12.2% from the previous month and 29.9% compared with the same period in 2025.
International visitor arrivals were estimated at 852,600, an increase of 5% from the previous month and 25.3% year on year. Domestic visitor arrivals reached 1.3773 million, up 17.2% from the previous month and 33% compared with the same period last year.
These results demonstrate Da Nang’s continued appeal during the peak summer travel season. They also reflect the effectiveness of the city’s efforts to diversify tourism products, organise large-scale events and improve access to the destination by air, rail, road and waterway.

During the first seven months of 2026, the total number of visitor arrivals served by accommodation establishments was estimated at 12.1083 million, up 24.8% year on year. International visitors accounted for approximately 6.0085 million arrivals, an increase of 28.1%, while domestic visitors reached 6.0997 million arrivals, up 21.7%.
More Than 2 Million Overnight Visitor Arrivals
The number of overnight visitor arrivals in July 2026 was estimated at 2.0474 million, up 13.1% from the previous month and 32.7% compared with the same period in 2025.
Of this figure, international overnight visitor arrivals were estimated at 847,400, while domestic overnight visitor arrivals reached approximately 1.2 million.
From the beginning of the year to the end of July 2026, the total number of overnight visitor arrivals was estimated at 11.0191 million, an increase of 27.8% year on year. International overnight visitor arrivals reached approximately 5.9767 million, up 28.3%, while domestic overnight visitor arrivals totalled 5.0424 million, up 27.2%.

The average length of stay among overnight visitors during the first seven months of 2026 was 1.79 days per visit. International visitors stayed an average of 1.90 days per visit, while domestic visitors stayed an average of 1.65 days per visit.
Accommodation and Food Service Revenue Exceeds VND 7.4 Trillion
Alongside the increase in visitor arrivals, revenue from tourism-related services continued to record strong growth.
Revenue from accommodation and food services in July 2026 was estimated at VND 7.405 trillion, up 14.4% from the previous month and 35.2% compared with the same period last year.
Accommodation service revenue reached approximately VND 2.455 trillion, up 24.5% from the previous month and 22.7% year on year. Food service revenue reached VND 4.950 trillion, an increase of 9.9% from the previous month and 42.3% compared with the same period in 2025.
During the first seven months of 2026, revenue from accommodation and food services was estimated at VND 39.545 trillion, accounting for 22.8% of the city’s total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue and representing an increase of 23.1% year on year.
Of this figure, accommodation service revenue reached VND 12.297 trillion, up 19.6%, while food service revenue totalled VND 27.248 trillion, up 24.7%.
A Series of Events Strengthens the Destination’s Appeal
Tourism growth in July was strongly supported by the peak summer season and a vibrant series of cultural, sporting, tourism, entertainment and culinary events held across the city.

Highlights included the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival – DIFF 2026, featuring large-scale performances along the Han River; the Enjoy Da Nang Festival 2026, with activities extending from sunrise until late evening across coastal spaces; and the Vietnam–Japan Festival 2026, which strengthened cultural exchange and broadened the city’s appeal to both domestic and international visitors.
Alongside major events, accommodation establishments, attractions, entertainment complexes, restaurants and experiential tourism services continued to receive investment and introduce new products. Night-time tourism, beach experiences, leisure, cuisine, wellness, entertainment and shopping also contributed to extending visitors’ experiences and increasing tourism expenditure.
During the first seven months of 2026, accommodation, food services and travel activities continued to play a leading role in the growth of Da Nang’s tourism sector. Entertainment, education, healthcare, real estate and lifestyle services also maintained positive demand.
The encouraging results recorded during the first seven months of 2026 further affirm Da Nang’s appeal on the tourism map of Vietnam and the wider region. Beyond its reputation as a destination for major events, the city is steadily creating a distinctive identity through authentic experiences, where every journey invites visitors to return to origins—to connect with nature, culture, local people and the genuine values that define Da Nang.
