Da Nang stands out for its unique and diverse tourism resources, including a vast array of beaches, rivers, lakes, hills, agricultural village spaces, and culturally significant architectural relics.
Da Nang is not just a city with abundant tourism resources, it is also a city with a rich cultural heritage. The city currently boasts two special national relics, 17 national-level relics and 65 city-level relics. The Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism has recognized six intangible cultural heritages of the locality and included them in the National Intangible Cultural Heritage [1], List. This recognition is a testament to the city’s deep-rooted cultural significance. Moreover, six artifacts preserved at the Cham Sculpture Museum have been granted national treasure [2]. status by the Prime Minister, further highlighting the city’s cultural wealth.
Da Nang estimates that it possesses 114 cultural and natural resources that can be utilized for tourism purposes. Among these resources, the number with potential for exploitation is significant. This includes those currently being exploited or under research for investment, such as 49 in Hoa Vang district, 11 in Lien Chieu district, 11 in Son Tra district, 10 in Ngu Hanh Son district, 15 in Hai Chau district, 6 in Thanh Khe district, and 10 in Cam Le district. Additionally, there are two other intangible cultural resources, namely Tuong Art and Bai Choi Art, that present exciting opportunities for development.
The rich and diverse tourism resources in Da Nang provide a solid foundation for the creation of a wide range of tourism products, making it an attractive prospect for potential investors.
