With increasingly open visa policies, a convenient e-visa system, and an extensive international flight network, travelling to Da Nang is now easier than ever.

Vietnam is becoming an increasingly accessible and attractive destination for international visitors thanks to expanded and simplified visa policies. In particular, Resolution No. 229/NQ-CP dated 08 August 2025 on visa exemption from 15 August 2025 to 14 August 2028 under the Tourism Development Stimulus Program has increased the total number of countries eligible for Vietnam’s unilateral visa exemption policy to 24. In addition, Resolution No. 127/NQ-CP dated 14 August 2023 of the Government on the issuance of electronic visas to citizens of countries and territories, along with the list of international border gates allowing foreigners to enter and exit Vietnam using e-visas, continues to facilitate international travel.

These policies make it easier for visitors to plan their trips, extend their stays, explore a wider range of experiences, and fully enjoy their journey throughout Vietnam.

At the same time, Da Nang serves as a convenient gateway for onward travel to Hue Imperial City and other destinations across Central Vietnam.

The list includes: Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, Russia, Japan, South Korea, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland; Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Switzerland.
This policy allows visitors to enjoy extended holidays in Vietnam without having to apply for a visa before travelling.
New Visa Policies for Special Categories
In addition to visa exemption and e-visa policies for international visitors, Vietnam has also introduced a time-limited visa exemption mechanism for certain special categories to support socio-economic development.
Eligible individuals may include strategic investors, leaders of major global corporations and enterprises, scientists, experts, as well as influential figures in culture, arts, sports, and tourism.
This policy helps attract international talent, promote investment cooperation, encourage innovation, and enhance Vietnam’s image globally through individuals with international influence.

For citizens of countries not included in the visa exemption list, travelling to Vietnam remains simple through the electronic visa (e-visa) system.

Key highlights include:
• Available to citizens of all countries and territories.
• Stay duration of up to 90 days.
• Single-entry or multiple-entry options.
• Entirely online application process before travel.
As a result, planning a trip to Vietnam has become simpler and more convenient for international visitors.
