Many of Da Nang’s most memorable experiences only take place at specific times of the day. Knowing these schedules in advance can help you plan your itinerary more effectively and ensure you do not miss some of the destination’s most iconic moments.
From the spectacular fire and water show at Dragon Bridge and the late-night rotation of Han River Bridge to the lively atmosphere of Bach Dang Walking Street, the lantern-lit charm of Hoi An, and traditional Cham performances in My Son Sanctuary, each experience has its own perfect time to enjoy.
Here are some useful time markers to save before your trip.

9:00 PM Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday – Don’t Miss the Dragon Bridge Fire and Water Show
When people think of Da Nang, Dragon Bridge is often one of the first landmarks that comes to mind.
At around 9:00 PM every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the bridge comes alive with its famous fire and water performance, attracting both locals and visitors.
This is also when the riverside area becomes particularly vibrant, filled with entertainment activities and the energetic atmosphere of Da Nang at night.
During public holidays, Lunar New Year, the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF), and other major city events, additional performances may be scheduled to accommodate more visitors.

11:00 PM on Saturdays and Sundays – Watch Han River Bridge Rotate
While Dragon Bridge represents the modern face of Da Nang, Han River Bridge remains one of the city’s most distinctive symbols.
At approximately 11:00 PM every Saturday and Sunday, the central section of the bridge rotates to allow vessels to pass along the Han River. It is a unique experience that very few cities in Viet Nam still maintain today.
Watching the bridge slowly turn against the backdrop of the illuminated city offers a different perspective of Da Nang — modern yet deeply connected to its identity.
Explore Bach Dang Walking Street from Afternoon to Midnight
For travelers looking to experience local life at a slower pace, an afternoon or evening at Bach Dang Walking Street is highly recommended.
The area operates daily from 3:00 PM to midnight. On Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, the 1.2-kilometre riverside stretch between Dragon Bridge and Tran Thi Ly Bridge becomes a pedestrian-only zone.
Visitors can enjoy creative photo spots, street performances, live music, community spaces, riverside cafés and a variety of cultural activities.
As the city lights begin to reflect on the Han River, this becomes one of the best places to enjoy Da Nang’s vibrant nightlife atmosphere.

The Pedestrian and Non-Motorized Vehicle Zone in Hoi An Ancient Town
One of the most beloved experiences for visitors to Da Nang is spending time strolling through the charming streets of Hoi An Ancient Town.
The pedestrian and non-motorized vehicle zone operates from 9:00 AM to 9:30 PM during summer and from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM during winter.
On Phan Chau Trinh Street, the schedule is 5:30 PM to 9:30 PM during summer and 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM during winter.
During these hours, visitors can leisurely explore Hoi An’s iconic yellow streets, stop by nostalgic cafés, sample local cuisine, browse artisan shops, and capture beautiful photographs within the heritage setting.
One experience not to miss is the traditional Bai Choi Folk Singing Performance, held around 7:00 PM every evening at An Hoi Roundabout, where visitors can gain a deeper appreciation of Central Viet Nam’s cultural heritage.

The 14th Lunar Day Each Month – Experience Hoi An Ancient Town Night
If your schedule allows, consider visiting Hoi An on the evening of the 14th day of the lunar month.
The event known as “Hoi An Ancient Town Night in the Early 20th Century” (commonly referred to as Hoi An Ancient Town Night) is held monthly on this occasion to recreate the atmosphere, activities and visual charm of old Hoi An.
The magical glow of lanterns, traditional performances, floating lantern activities on the Hoai River and the town’s unhurried pace create an experience that feels entirely different from an ordinary day.

Cham Cultural Performances at My Son Sanctuary
Beyond its remarkable temple complex, My Son Sanctuary offers visitors the opportunity to discover Cham culture through traditional performances held daily.
Performance times are generally scheduled as follows:
Morning: 9:00 AM, 9:45 AM, 10:30 AM and 11:15 AM
Afternoon: 2:00 PM, 2:45 PM and 4:00 PM
In particular, on the 15th day of the lunar month, the cultural performance program “Echoes of My Son” takes place at the BCD Tower Group, offering visitors an immersive cultural experience rich in local identity.
Set against the backdrop of a thousand-year-old heritage landscape, graceful Apsara dances and traditional Cham music bring the history and culture of the Champa civilization vividly to life.
