Da Nang International Airport (DAD) is the largest aviation gateway in Central Vietnam, directly connecting Da Nang with many domestic and international cities.
Located only about 3 km from the city center, the airport allows visitors to easily travel to beachfront resorts, downtown Da Nang, Hoi An Ancient Town, or the former imperial capital of Hue.

The airport currently has two passenger terminals:
- Terminal T1 (Domestic): Serving domestic flights.
- Terminal T2 (International): Serving international flights.
The two terminals are conveniently connected by a covered walkway, making it easy for passengers to transfer between flights.

Arriving by Domestic Flight (Terminal T1)
Baggage Claim
After completing your flight, passengers can collect checked baggage at the baggage carousels in the arrivals area.
To identify the correct baggage carousel, please follow the carousel information displayed on the flight information screens or check the terminal’s website.
Baggage carts are provided free of charge and conveniently placed near carousels No. 1, 3, and 4, helping passengers move their luggage easily after collection.
Arriving by International Flight (Terminal T2)
Immigration Procedures
To enter Vietnam, passengers must have a valid passport and an appropriate visa, or an approval letter issued by the Vietnam Immigration Department for visa on arrival.
Notes:
- Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the expected date of entry.
- Your passport must have at least 1 blank page for a visa stamp.

Visa on Arrival
For passengers with a visa approval letter:
Prepare the approval letter issued by the Vietnam Immigration Department before arriving in Da Nang.
Upon arrival at International Terminal T2, proceed to the Visa on Arrival counter on the ground floor.
Collect the entry and exit visa application form, complete all required information, and attach a photo.
Present your passport, approval letter, and completed application form to the immigration officer.
Pay the visa fee and receive your visa before continuing with immigration procedures.

Traditional Immigration Procedures
Follow the signs to the immigration area on the ground floor.
Complete screening through the automated quarantine system.
Queue as instructed by immigration staff.
Remove hats, face masks, or sunglasses, if any, for facial identification.
Present your boarding pass and valid passport.
After receiving the entry stamp, collect your passport and proceed to the baggage claim area.
Automated Immigration Procedures (Autogate)
To provide a more convenient travel experience, Terminal T2 is equipped with automated immigration control gates in the arrivals immigration area on the ground floor.
At present, this system is only available to Vietnamese citizens with valid passports.
Passengers who have not yet registered for the service should contact immigration staff at the visa office in the arrivals immigration area on the ground floor for guidance on registration and use of the system.
Baggage Claim
After completing immigration procedures, visitors can proceed to the baggage carousel area to collect checked baggage.
Carousel information is displayed on electronic screens behind the immigration area and on the terminal’s website.
Free baggage carts are available at carousels No. 1, 2, 3, and 4.
For oversized baggage such as bicycles, surfboards, golf equipment, baby strollers, or similar items, please collect them at the oversized baggage claim area next to carousel No. 04.

GUIDE FOR DEPARTING PASSENGERS

Step 1: Check-in
The check-in area is located on Level 2 of both Terminal T1 and Terminal T2.
Passengers can access the area through the terminal entrances or use elevators from the ground floor. At International Terminal T2, passengers may also access the terminal from the parking area via the pedestrian bridge to Level 1 and then continue to Level 2.

After security screening, international passengers proceed to immigration control.
Based on current airport operational data, the average immigration processing time is approximately 4 minutes; however, this may vary depending on passenger volume and time of day.
Passengers carrying goods requiring customs declaration must complete customs procedures before entering the immigration area.
Step 4: Boarding Gate Waiting Area
After completing all procedures, passengers may enjoy a variety of facilities within the departure lounge, including:

TRANSFERRING AT DA NANG INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
Da Nang International Airport consists of Terminal T1 (Domestic) and Terminal T2 (International), connected by a convenient pedestrian walkway. Passengers can easily travel between terminals by following the directional signage.
Domestic Flight to International Flight
- Collect checked baggage (if applicable).
- Exit the arrivals area of Terminal T1.
- Follow the signs to International Terminal T2.

International Flight to Domestic Flight
