Tet in Da Nang this year unfolds at an easy, unhurried pace. With pleasant weather and fresh air, it’s the perfect time to plan a spring getaway with family, friends, and loved ones. And if you’re looking for a destination that is joyful yet meaningful, familiar yet different, Hoi An Memories Island offers a fresh way to “return to the origin.”

No longer just a stroll through familiar streets or a few quick check-in photos, a spring visit to Hoi An Memories Island is a journey into a living heritage space—where Tet reveals itself through light, sound, movement, and the warmth of togetherness.
Early spring moments – Tet scenes in a heritage setting
From 5:00 PM, starting February 17, 2026 (except Tuesdays, February 24), Hoi An Memories Island welcomes visitors into a vibrant spring atmosphere filled with color and emotion. As light spreads across the heritage landscape, Tet appears in a distinctive way—gentle, warm, and full of anticipation for the new year.

Beginning on the first day of Tet, the Lucky Red Envelopes & Fortune Casting Festival takes place over three days, from February 17 to 19, 2026 (the 1st to 3rd days of the Lunar New Year). Red envelopes exchanged by hand and fortunes opened amid laughter and well-wishes carry the joy of reunion and hopes for a fulfilling year ahead.
Throughout the Tet holiday, visitors can also experience the flavors and spirit of Tet from all three regions of Vietnam, where the spring colors of the North, Central, and South blend harmoniously within the heritage space. Amid light, sound, and festive rhythms, a familiar warmth gradually emerges—turning every early-year moment into a memorable emotional touchpoint.
Touching moments of light – When Hoi An tells stories through lanterns
One highlight not to be missed is the Chau An Ship Giant Lantern Installation, glowing from February 17 to April 30, 2026. At the heart of the heritage area, the illuminated lantern evokes stories of the 17th-century Faifo trading port—a crossroads of cultures, remembered through light, color, and emotion.
Especially noteworthy, the Hoi An sky will be “painted” for the first time with a Dragon & Phoenix Lantern Drone Show, performed on the opening night of the Light & Heritage Festival (March 4, 2026). This unprecedented visual spectacle promises a powerful emotional moment for the spring journey.

Living art – When Tet is touched through experience
Before the main performance, visitors can arrive early to explore Hoi An Impression Park, where more than 20 traditional mini art shows take place daily from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Vivid slices of Vietnamese culture come alive through performances such as The World of Hoi An, Lady of the Silkworm, The Nguyen Lords Recruiting Generals, Princess Ngoc Hoa’s Wedding, and more—guiding audiences into the flow of history through intimate, accessible emotions.

A complete evening – Cuisine and radiant memories
A spring visit to Hoi An Memories Island goes beyond festive activities, unfolding instead as a multi-layered spring tableau where each evening feels complete—from tasting and sensing to quiet reflection. Amid river landscapes and heritage settings, visitors can leisurely explore local cuisine, where Tet flavors are preserved in familiar dishes that evoke warmth, togetherness, and a comforting sense of home in the early days of the year.
The highlight of the journey is the Hoi An Memories Show, one of the world’s large-scale outdoor live performances with international stature. Held daily from 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM (except Tuesdays), the show leads audiences through Hoi An’s history and culture on a grand open-air stage, blending light, music, dance, and emotion.

Touching Tet directly – When experiences become memories
Beyond observation, a spring journey at Hoi An Memories Island opens up hands-on experiences where visitors can feel Tet through participation and genuine emotion. Silk and pottery craft spaces, along with traditional handicraft workshops, invite participants to create their own personal slice of Tet—gentle yet profound enough to linger in memory.

Interwoven with these experiences are live art performances and light-themed check-in corners specially designed for Spring 2026, where every step reveals a frame worth keeping—perfect for groups of friends as well as cherished family moments.
The journey can also slow its rhythm, as visitors choose a boat ride on the Hoai River, release lanterns in the heritage nightscape, or don traditional attire to immerse themselves and capture complete spring memories with loved ones. A very personal way of touching Tet—close enough to feel, deep enough to stay.
A spring journey to touch – and to remember
More than just a trip, a spring visit to Hoi An Memories Island is a new way of connecting with heritage—where Tet does not rush by, but is felt through multiple senses, layered emotions, and moments of heartfelt reunion.

A destination lively enough for friends, warm enough for families, and meaningful enough for everyone to find their own unique spring memory—on a journey of returning to the origin in the heart of Da Nang.
