Decision No 822/QD-TTg issued by Vietnam’s Prime Minister on July 11, 2023, on Approval of the Relic preservation and rehabilitation planning of “Ngu Hanh Son Special National famous landscape and beauty spot” or Marble Mountain attraction (Ngu Hanh Son District, Danang city).
The preservation and restoration of Marble Mountain aims at six objectives. The first two objectives seek to manage the attraction and protect Marble Mountain while considering the need for social-economic development and tourism services. Another key aim is to preserve, enhance, and promote Marble Mountain’s cultural and festival values. This involves creating a unique entertainment spot in Danang City that celebrates the area’s rich history and cultural heritage. The plan aims to connect Marble Mountain with other famous monuments, landscapes, and beauty spots in Danang City and neighboring areas. This will create a rich chain of tourism products, making Marble Mountain an essential stop on the “The Road of Heritage Sites in Central Vietnam” travel itinerary.
Furthermore, Decision No 822/QD-TTg serves as a legal foundation for not only the creation of regulations for managing, protecting, and overseeing landscape architectural planning in Marble Mountain attraction and surrounding areas; but also the formulation, appraisal, approval, and accomplishment of component projects aimed at preserving, rehabilitate and enhancing the attraction values outlined in approved plans. This provides conditions, mechanisms, and resources attracting and encouraging all economic sectors to invest in sustainable regional development.
