DA NANG PROMOTES TOURISM AT ITE HCMC 2024
From September 5 to 7, 2024, the Da Nang Tourism Department, in collaboration with the Tourism Departments of Thua Thien Hue, Quang Binh, Quang Nam, and Quang Tri provinces, participate in a joint pavilion under the theme “Marvelous Heritage Region” at the International Travel Expo (ITE) HCMC 2024.
The joint booth representing the five localities – Da Nang, Quang Nam, Thua Thien Hue, Quang Binh, and Quang Tri – will cover 90m2 at booth number 185, accompanied by almost 30 local tourism businesses. Visitors can expect to be introduced to new tourism products, each with its unique charm, prominent festivals, events, and promotional tourism packages from the five provinces. Moreover, there will be unique souvenirs, a mini-game exploring the five localities, and exciting prizes. Additionally, businesses will have opportunities to meet buyers from both domestic and international markets.
Da Nang’s tourism focus is unique and captivating. The city will highlight its MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) offerings, wedding tourism, new travel tours, and experiences through VR360 technology. Visitors will have the chance to win attractive prizes in the “spin-the-wheel” game and take souvenir photos with the city’s tourism chatbot at the booth, adding a touch of fun to their experience.
Ms. Nguyễn Thị Hoài An, Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Tourism, reassured, “In recent times, Da Nang tourism has consistently collaborated with the other four provinces in the alliance, participating in joint booths at tourism fairs like VITM Hanoi and ITE Ho Chi Minh City. These efforts aim to increase Da Nang’s presence in the domestic market and enhance direct connections with travel businesses and tourists. During this business trip, we will meet with domestic and international travel agencies and event organizers to discuss market trends and develop strategies to promote Da Nang as a future travel destination.”
The ITE HCMC 2024, focusing on “Sustainable Tourism – Shaping the Future,” has garnered attention from 700 key figures representing leading organizations and businesses in the global tourism sector from 38 countries and territories. Noteworthy developments for this year’s event include the participation of international travel industry leaders such as Flight Center Travel Group (Australia), listed in the Fortune 500, and Intrepid Travel (Australia), recognized as one of the 100 most influential companies globally by TIME Magazine in 2023. Also, prominent tourism markets like the U.S. and Europe have shown keen interest in the exhibition.
