Hong Kong Airlines has officially launched a direct flight route from Hong Kong to Da Nang with a frequency of 7 flights per week.
On July 19, 2024, the HX548 flight operated by Hong Kong Airlines successfully landed at Da Nang International Airport, carrying 152 passengers from Hong Kong (China).
The inaugural flight was welcomed with a special ceremony at the International Arrival Terminal at Da Nang International Airport, attended by dignitaries from the Department of Tourism, the Central Region Airports Authority, Da Nang International Airport, Da Nang International Terminal Investment and Operation Joint Stock Company, Hong Kong Airlines, and representatives from various media outlets.
Upon arrival, the passengers received a warm reception, which included a traditional lion dance performance and memorable souvenirs, such as conventional conical hats, as a gesture of hospitality from Da Nang.
The commencement of the daily Hong Kong-Da Nang route by Hong Kong Airlines has led to a collective total of 21 flights per week from Hong Kong to Da Nang. Two other carriers, Hong Kong Express and VietJet Air, also serve the Hong Kong-Da Nang route with 10 and 4 weekly flights, respectively.
The involvement of Hong Kong Airlines supports revitalizing and advancing the international flight network to Da Nang. It presents numerous opportunities to establish connections for Da Nang with other global destinations across the region and around the globe.
