The Larue Cup, a football tournament that originated in Da Nang City in 2008, has become a renowned competition brand in Vietnam. Year after year, it attracts hundreds of teams who compete to win the prestigious cup. The Super “Phủi” Cup 2023, after an 8-year hiatus, has brought together over 300 teams from five provinces in the Central and Central Highlands regions of Vietnam, including Da Nang City, Quang Nam, Lam Dong, Dak Lak, and Gia Lai provinces. The total prize pool for the Larue Cup is almost VND 1 billion, making it the largest-scale football tournament in the region and a local sports festival.
