According to Booking.com’s 2026 Travel Predictions, 57% of Vietnamese travelers plan to visit coastal destinations in 2026, while 46% are looking for trips that allow them to immerse themselves in peaceful natural surroundings.
These figures indicate that holiday choices are increasingly shaped by the desire to relax, recharge, enjoy outdoor experiences and find a balance between exploration and time for oneself.
Amid this trend, destinations that can combine different settings and experiences within one journey – from beaches and nature to urban spaces – have a clear advantage in meeting the increasingly diverse needs of travelers.
Da Nang tops summer 2026 travel searches
According to a press release published by Booking.com on August 6, 2026, the platform’s latest search data for stays between July 1 and September 1 shows that the Top 10 domestic destinations most searched by Vietnamese travelers are Da Nang, Nha Trang, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Lat, Hoi An, Ha Noi, Vung Tau, Phu Quoc, Quy Nhon and Ha Long.
Ranking first, Da Nang once again demonstrates the appeal of a destination that offers a wide variety of experiences within a single holiday.
