The Da Nang Museum Decoded Tour is an in-depth discovery journey led by the museum’s own specialists, unveiling stories and layers of information that a regular tour rarely has enough time to explore.

Through each exhibition floor, participants follow the connections between artifacts, images, and documents to uncover the historical, cultural, and everyday-life layers that have shaped Da Nang from past to present. Rather than merely viewing artifacts, the tour invites participants to look beyond the exhibits, notice details often overlooked, ask questions about their origins, and discover the stories behind how the museum selects, arranges, and interprets history.
The journey also explores the architectural history of Da Nang Museum, from its relocation out of Dien Hai Citadel to the selection of its present exhibition space. The building once served as the Résident Supérieur’s Office under the French administration and later became the City Hall during the Republic of Vietnam period, reflecting the historical transformations it has undergone.
The Da Nang Museum Decoded Tour offers a different perspective on the museum and the city, where the past is rediscovered through traces that remain visible in Da Nang today.
