The 31st World Travel Awards (WTA) for Asia and Oceania are now open for voting at www.worldtravelawards.com.
Since its establishment in 1993, the WTA has been a prestigious global award, often called the “Oscars of the Travel Industry.” This annual event aims to honor outstanding destinations and high-quality travel service providers across various categories, such as Airlines, Hotels, Resorts, Travel Companies, and Tourist Destinations.
Vietnam has been honored with nominations in several critical categories at the upcoming World Travel Awards 2024.

The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism has secured a nomination for the esteemed Asia’s Leading Tourism Board 2024 award.
At a local level, both the Hanoi Department of Tourism and the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism are also running for the Asia’s Leading City Tourist Board 2024 award. Notably, the Quang Nam Department of Tourism has earned a nomination for the prestigious Asia’s Leading Regional City Tourist Board 2024 award.
Ho Chi Minh City has been nominated as Asia’s Leading Business Travel Destination for 2024, while Hanoi has been nominated as Asia’s Leading City Break Destination and Asia’s Leading City Destination for 2024.
Furthermore, Hoi An has received a nomination for Asia’s Leading Culture City Destination for 2024.
Vietnam has garnered numerous nominations in various categories for the upcoming Asia’s Leading Culture City Destination 2024 awards. Hoi An and Hue are strong contenders for Asia’s Leading Culture City Destination 2024, while Ha Giang and Ha Nam have received nominations for Asia’s Leading Emerging Tourism Destination 2024.
Additionally, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City are poised to make waves as possible winners for Asia’s Festival and Event Destination 2024.
Moreover, the prestigious tourist island of Phu Quoc is in the running for Asia’s Leading Luxury Island Destination 2023. Ha Nam is also vying for Asia’s Leading Regional Cultural Destination 2024 title, while Moc Chau has been positioned for potential victory as Asia’s Leading Regional Natural Destination 2024.
Vietnam has also secured multiple other nominations in aviation, hotels, travel agencies, and top Asian landmarks. The overwhelming support and votes from the public, tourists, and communities represent a tremendous opportunity for Vietnam’s tourism industry.
