For generations, agarwood from Quang Land has been regarded as one of the most precious natural treasures of Central Vietnam. Naturally formed in the ancient forests of Tra My and Tien Phuoc mountainous areas, agarwood is created through a unique harmony between harsh climatic conditions and the tree’s resilient self-healing process over many years. Each vein of resin embodies the essence of nature and time, releasing a fragrance that is pure, profound, and lingering.
To the people of Quang, agarwood is a “gift from heaven” – a sacred wood associated with peace, good fortune, and prosperity. The traditional practice of searching for agarwood was once a challenging journey deep into the forests, where people lived alongside the great wilderness, faced the forces of nature, and accumulated folk stories and cultural memories passed down through generations. Over time, agarwood has evolved from a rare natural product into a cultural symbol, deeply embedded in the spiritual life of Quang people.

These values are vividly presented in the themed exhibition “Quang Agarwood – Fragrance from the Great Forests,” jointly organized by Da Nang Museum and DaNa Agarwood Brand. The exhibition officially opens at 3:00 PM on January 23, 2026, at Da Nang Museum (31 Tran Phu Street, Hai Chau Ward, Da Nang City), offering a culturally immersive experience for visitors and the public.

Within the exhibition space, nearly 200 representative specimens and agarwood products are displayed, arranged into three thematic sections: Agarwood Sculptures – The Essence of Heaven and Earth; Agarwood Handicrafts; Agarwood – From Sacred Wood to Daily Life. Visitors are invited to stroll leisurely through the galleries, pause before each artifact, and breathe in the gentle aroma of agarwood to feel the delicate interaction between nature, time, and human craftsmanship.

The exhibition offers a unique “touch of identity” experience – where agarwood is perceived as a living cultural heritage, intimately connected with the mountains and the spiritual life of the people of Quang. Amid the pace of modern urban life, this is a tranquil retreat where visitors can slow down, reconnect with authentic values, and carry with them the deep and lingering aftertaste of agarwood as they depart.
