On 25 February 2026, Sun PhuQuoc Airways (SPA) officially launched new routes connecting Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City with Da Nang.

This move not only adds a premium flight option for passengers but also serves as a bridge for travelers to experience Sun Group’s world-class, integrated resort–entertainment ecosystem in the tourism capital of Central Vietnam.

Spreading Wings to Central Vietnam’s Tourism Hub

On the morning of 25 February, at 06:15, Sun PhuQuoc Airways’ first commercial flight departed Noi Bai International Airport (Hanoi), marking the start of a new air connection to Da Nang. Shortly afterward, at 10:30, a flight from Tan Son Nhat International Airport also took off, bringing the first passengers from Ho Chi Minh City to the beautiful coastal city of Central Vietnam.

To meet rising demand for travel and commerce, Sun PhuQuoc Airways plans a rapid capacity increase starting in March 2026. The Hanoi–Da Nang route begins with two flights per day and will quickly double to four daily flights from 1 March 2026. Meanwhile, the Ho Chi Minh City–Da Nang route operates two flights per day starting 25 February 2026.

This marks the first step in a broader plan to strengthen connectivity between Da Nang, Hanoi, and Ho Chi Minh City. Next, from 15 March 2026, Sun PhuQuoc Airways is expected to launch the Da Nang–Phu Quoc route, further completing the network linking Vietnam’s key tourism hubs.

Completing Sun Group’s “All-in-One” Experience Journey

The presence of Sun PhuQuoc Airways in Da Nang opens up a seamless travel journey, directly connecting flights with Sun Group’s leading resort and entertainment ecosystem—at optimized costs.

Travelers can now easily design a complete getaway at renowned resorts such as InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort, Novotel Danang Premier Han River, or Mercure Danang French Village Bana Hills. At the same time, they can explore Sun World Ba Na Hills—Asia’s “Leading Theme Park”—home to the iconic Golden Bridge.

Flying to Da Nang during this period also allows visitors to immerse themselves in the vibrant Tulip Festival in the Clouds 2026, enjoy spectacular outdoor shows (Love in the Sky, Solar Warrior), and experience the captivating cabaret art show After Glow at Beer Plaza.

These new routes further enhance their strategic value as the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF 2026)—sponsored and co-organized by Sun Group—officially kicks off in late May. Featuring 10 competing teams, including promising newcomers from Macau (China) and Japan, Sun PhuQuoc Airways will be one of the most convenient “wings” carrying millions of visitors to the dazzling fireworks season along the Han River.

From now until 30 June 2026, customers using the NCB iziMobile banking app or holding NCB credit cards are entitled to priority check-in at Sun PhuQuoc Airways counters, helping shorten procedures and enhance the overall travel experience.

Sun PhuQuoc Airways’ Vision for Global Reach

As Vietnam’s first airline named after an island, Sun PhuQuoc Airways is invested in and developed by Sun Group under a “hub-and-spoke” network model, with Phu Quoc as the central hub. The airline delivers a seamless travel experience closely linked to Sun Group’s premium resort and entertainment ecosystem on the Pearl Island.

Despite being a newcomer, Sun PhuQuoc Airways has rapidly built a modern fleet of 10 aircraft (as of the end of February 2026) and established stringent operational standards. Notably, the airline led the industry in on-time performance (OTP) in December 2025 and January 2026, while completing all core safety and maintenance certifications from the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam.

Alongside expanding its domestic and international network, Sun PhuQuoc Airways is making significant strides in fleet development—particularly wide-body aircraft. On 18 February 2026 in Washington, D.C. (USA), the airline signed a USD 22.5 billion contract to purchase 40 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners—the largest wide-body aircraft order in Vietnamese aviation history to date.

With an intercontinental range of up to 14,010 km, the Dreamliner fleet will underpin future nonstop routes from Phu Quoc to Europe, North America, and Northeast Asia. Step by step, as it brings the “Resort in the Sky” concept to life and works toward a fleet of 100 aircraft by 2030, Sun PhuQuoc Airways is firmly asserting its mission: bringing Phu Quoc to the world—and the world to the Pearl Island.
