On May 21, 2026, the Danang Food Tour 2026 Festival officially opened at East Sea Park in An Hai Ward, marking the beginning of a large-scale tourism and culinary event expected to create a new highlight for the city’s tourism industry through a journey celebrating local culture and identity through gastronomy.

Taking place from May 20 to 24, 2026 at East Sea Park, Tam Thanh Beach Square, and various locations across the city, this year’s festival is designed as a multi-sensory experience that blends cuisine, art, culture, and technology, creating a vibrant festive atmosphere for both residents and visitors.

The opening night featured an elaborately staged art performance combining contemporary theatrical language with music, lighting, artistic showcases, and culinary storytelling. From rustic countryside kitchens and nostalgic street vendors to the dynamic rhythm of a modern coastal city, the program vividly portrayed the formation and evolution of Quang-style culinary culture. A spectacular fire-lighting ceremony by the beach officially inaugurated the festive series of culinary and entertainment activities of Danang Food Tour 2026.

Earlier on the afternoon of May 20, East Sea Park Beach was transformed into a nostalgic cultural space with a parade of more than 70 food stalls under the theme “Ganhs of Flavors of Danang”, gathering the essence of Quang cuisine, Vietnamese gastronomy, and international flavors. Making its debut within the framework of the festival, the activity vividly recreated the familiar street vendor culture of old Vietnamese urban life. Amid the breezy seaside setting, the simple calls of vendors blended with the aroma of traditional dishes, evoking cherished memories while honoring the everyday cultural beauty closely associated with generations of Vietnamese people.
The “Quang Culinary Essence Space” (4:00 PM – 11:00 PM, May 20–24, 2026) at East Sea Park features more than 200 local, regional, and international food booths, offering a colorful journey through flavors and cultural experiences. From iconic local specialties such as Mi Quang, banh xeo, cao lau, and pork rice paper rolls to fresh Central Vietnamese seafood and international cuisine, the space creates a vibrant “symphony of flavors” along Danang’s coastline.
More than simply a culinary festival, Danang Food Tour 2026 is designed as a layered experiential journey where visitors can touch, taste, interact with, and immerse themselves in local culture in a youthful and modern way.
At the “Experience the Essence of Quang” area (6:00 PM – 10:00 PM, May 20–24, 2026) at East Sea Park, visitors can not only enjoy local dishes but also participate in cooking activities, explore traditional crafts, engage in folk games, and enjoy interactive multi-sensory experiences. Each activity serves as a cultural piece that helps participants better understand the lifestyle, people, and hospitality of Quang land.
Meanwhile, the “Colors of Quang” check-in space (4:00 PM – 11:00 PM, May 20–24, 2026) has been developed as an outdoor visual art complex featuring large-scale installations inspired by Central Vietnamese life. From basket boats and Quang kitchens to street vendors and coastal townscapes, every detail is recreated through artistic installations and modern lighting technology, creating visually impressive experiences for visitors and young audiences on digital platforms.
The festival atmosphere will continue to heat up with Beer Fest Night on May 23, 2026 at East Sea Park. The event promises an energetic beachfront entertainment experience featuring music, interactive games, and more than 5,000 Food & Beer combo sets. With ticket prices starting from only VND 89,000 and VND 179,000, visitors can fully enjoy a “night of flavors” combining gastronomy, entertainment, and community experiences.
In particular, the multi-sensory ShopeeFood Concert at 7:00 PM on May 24, 2026 is expected to become one of the most explosive highlights of this year’s festival season. Featuring popular artists such as Noo Phuoc Thinh, Karik, (S)TRONG Trong Hieu, Orange, DJ Mie, and Kimmese, the event will transform Danang’s nighttime beachscape into a youthful entertainment stage where music, lights, and cuisine blend together in a modern and energetic festival atmosphere.
The festival also extends to surrounding localities through a series of distinctive activities. The “Vi Bien” Culinary Festival (4:00 PM – 10:00 PM, May 22–24, 2026) at Tam Thanh Beach Square offers a coastal-themed experience featuring seafood, fishing village culture, beer festivities, and evening art performances. Meanwhile, the “Hoi An Dong Traditional Cake Festival” (8:00 AM – 8:00 PM on May 23, 2026) at Cam Chau Market creates a heritage-inspired space where visitors can make traditional cakes alongside artisans and explore the refined beauty of Quang cuisine.
This year’s festival also marks a significant step forward in integrating technology into culinary tourism through the launch of the Danang Culinary Digital Map – ShopeeFood, enabling visitors to easily discover and experience notable culinary destinations throughout the city. At the same time, the Danang Food Tours 2026 series (May–December 2026), connecting Danang city center with Hoi An, Dien Ban, Tam Ky, and Dai Loc, further expands the culinary exploration journey, bringing visitors closer to craft villages, local communities, and the unique cultural values of Quang land.

Beyond being a culinary promotion event, Danang Food Tour 2026 is also considered an important tourism stimulus initiative, contributing to spreading the image of Danang as a youthful, creative, and culturally rich destination to domestic and international visitors alike.
