On the morning of May 8, 2026, nearly 2,000 participants gathered early at East Sea Park in Da Nang to take part in Newborns Vietnam Run Out 2026 — one of the opening activities of VNG IRONMAN Vietnam 2026 and VNG IRONMAN 70.3 Da Nang 2026 week.

Held at sunrise along Da Nang’s coastline, the run created an energetic and inspiring atmosphere, bringing together athletes, families, local residents, and sports enthusiasts for a meaningful community experience by the beach. More than just a community run, Newborns Vietnam Run Out carried the message “BE A LIFESAVER,” where every step taken contributes to supporting Newborns Vietnam in its mission to improve neonatal care in Vietnam.

Newborns Vietnam Run Out is an annual 5km community run organized by Newborns Vietnam with the support of Sunrise Events Vietnam as part of IRONMAN week in Da Nang. The 2026 edition marks a special milestone as the full-distance VNG IRONMAN Vietnam is being held in Vietnam for the very first time, while VNG IRONMAN 70.3 Da Nang celebrates its 10th season. In this exciting atmosphere, Newborns Vietnam Run Out returns with several first-time initiatives designed to enhance participant experience and further spread the spirit of running for the community.

One of the highlights this year is the introduction of official race BIBs for participants for the first time, recognizing each individual’s presence and contribution to the journey of “running for newborn lives.” In addition, runners who completed the course with a valid BIB received a limited-edition Minh Long ceramic medal — a symbolic keepsake representing not only personal achievement, but also a shared commitment to meaningful community values.

The event added vibrant energy to Da Nang’s sports atmosphere in early May while continuing to affirm the city’s position as a destination for international sporting events, where community spirit, endurance, and meaningful human connections come together along its inspiring coastline.
