To promote sustainable cooperation for development and prosperity, the Da Nang People’s Committee is organizing “Meet Danang 2024” on January 26th, 2024.
The esteemed “Meet Da Nang 2024” forum presents a unique opportunity for the city to demonstrate its commitment to integration policies and development priorities to esteemed foreign partners. This forum will allow partners to express their expectations, provide insightful perspectives from various stakeholders, including government, businesses, diplomats, and international guests, and gauge the city’s readiness for the future. This event will begin the 2024 business calendar and foster meaningful connections between Da Nang and its esteemed partners.
“Meet Da Nang 2024” is a forum for the city to introduce integration policy orientations and development priorities in the near future.
The upcoming event will be a significant gathering of esteemed individuals from domestic and international backgrounds. Among our distinguished guests will be representatives from various national government agencies, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the Ministry of Information and Communications, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Ministry of Science and Technology. We are honored also to welcome representatives from countries such as the USA, Japan, Korea, China, Germany, UK, Netherlands, Finland, and Singapore. We are privileged to have the participation of esteemed international organizations and cooperation agencies in Vietnam, including the World Bank (WB), Asian Development Bank (ADB), Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), and United States Agency for International Development (USAID). Along with some foreign NGOs, foreign-invested enterprises, and foreign collectives, we will also be joined by individuals who have been awarded the Certificate of Merit from the Chairman of the City People’s Committee.
As part of the series of activities planned for the upcoming event, a ceremony will be held on the morning of January 26 to announce the decision to establish the Da Nang Semiconductor and Artificial Intelligence Center for Research and Training (DSAC). A talk show will also be conducted on the same day to discuss building policies that promote the development of integrated circuit design in the city.
Moreover, the participants will have the opportunity to visit various locations in the city, including the High-Tech Park, Lien Chieu Port, Centralised Information Technology Park, Software Park, and other social and cultural facilities.
Aside from the plenary sessions, delegates will attend two thematic sessions designed to stimulate fruitful discussions, namely ‘Unlocking International Cooperation Resources to Promote Socio-Economic Development’ and ‘Da Nang is Ready to Welcome the New Waves’. We strongly encourage all delegates to attend these sessions.
As part of the esteemed occasion, there will be signing ceremonies for Memoranda of Understanding between the City People’s Committee, the city’s authorities, and notable international organizations such as ADB and USAID, as well as esteemed enterprises like Synopsys International Limited and Intel Corporation. KP Aero (Korea) will also be honored with the Investment Policy Approval Certificate for their commendable aerospace project worth USD 20 million. Moreover, the Chairman of Da Nang People’s Committee will extend Certificates of Merit to foreign representative agencies, international organizations, foreign non-governmental organizations, and foreign-invested enterprises that have contributed significantly to the socio-economic development of Da Nang City.
