During Vietnam’s National Day holiday on September 2, 2026, Da Nang offers many ways to experience the city — from blue seas and heritage spaces to cultural colors, sporting activities, arts and urban experiences. One holiday, many ways to connect, allowing every visitor to discover Da Nang at their own pace.
Some journeys begin by the sea. Others follow the path of heritage. Some visitors choose to immerse themselves in sports, music and activities along the Han River, while others may prefer to slow down among museums, ancient streets and local cultural spaces.
Marking the 81st anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, a wide range of activities will take place across Da Nang, from the city center to Hoi An, My Son and the western areas, creating diverse experiences throughout late August and early September. The festive atmosphere begins to build from August 20 before continuing with a series of cultural, heritage, sports and tourism activities celebrating National Day.
So this National Day holiday, which side of Da Nang would you like to touch?

Touch the Sea – Touch Da Nang
The sea remains one of the easiest and most inviting ways to begin a day in Da Nang.
Visitors can spend time exploring the city’s beaches, enjoying the coastal atmosphere or joining a variety of regular marine sports activities.
The seaside experience continues into the evening with Live Music Nights at the Beachside Coconut Area – Grandvrio Ocean Resort Danang, taking place from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM, offering another relaxing option by the sea during the holiday.
From a morning beside the waves to an evening of live music by the beach, “touching the sea” can be a gentle opening rhythm before discovering the many other colors of Da Nang.

Touch the Rhythm, Embrace the Pride
In the final days of August, the National Day spirit spreads across many cultural and artistic spaces throughout the city.
On the evening of August 29, Tran Hung Dao Street in An Hai Ward will become the stage for the “Rhythm of Pride” Street Carnival, featuring dance performances set to popular Vietnamese and international music.
On the same day, Street Music will take place at the pedestrian street in Ban Thach Ward, while Bai Choi singing will continue to entertain residents and visitors in the area south of the eastern end of Dragon Bridge. At APEC Park, the “Cinema Window” program will bring cinema into public space through film-score performances and outdoor screenings.
A special film program commemorating the August Revolution and National Day will also be organized at Le Do Cinema and several mobile screening locations across the city.
When the city lights up, the journey can continue along the Han River with two familiar Da Nang night-time experiences. Dragon Bridge’s fire and water show begins at 9:00 PM every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, as well as on major public holidays. Visitors staying out later on weekends can also watch the Han River Bridge rotate, with the bridge opening for visitors from 11:00 PM to midnight on Saturdays and Sundays.
From the fire and water show at Dragon Bridge to the moment the central span of Han River Bridge rotates over the river, these night-time highlights add another memorable rhythm to a National Day holiday in the city.
More than performances, these moments offer residents and visitors a chance to share in the city’s atmosphere during a particularly meaningful time of year.

Touch Heritage
For those who want to spend the holiday discovering deeper layers of Da Nang’s cultural landscape, the journey can continue towards its heritage destinations.
On August 26, the Chien Dan Communal House Festival will take place in Chien Dan Commune, offering another stop connected with local traditional cultural life.
From August 28 to September 2, Hoi An Creative Week 2026 – “Journey to Touch Heritage, Touch Creativity” will feature a series of experiences, exhibitions, performances, talks, training activities and cultural exchanges across Hoi An. It offers visitors an opportunity to engage with heritage not only through architecture and scenery, but also through creative ideas developed from local cultural materials.
Also in Hoi An, from August 24 to September 24, the thematic exhibition “Bare Feet, Iron Will” at Hoi An Prison Relic Site will portray the nation’s revolutionary struggle, highlighting the resilience and sacrifices of earlier generations.
On September 2, My Son Sanctuary in Thu Bon Commune will host the “Colors of Cham Cultural Heritage” program, recreating traditional rituals in combination with artistic performances and cultural exchanges.
Alongside these special programs, visitors can still enjoy Hoi An Ancient Town’s regular experiences such as lantern-lit streets, Bai Choi, clay-pot breaking and traditional folk games, or watch Cham art performances at My Son.
From the tiled roofs of Hoi An to the ancient towers of My Son, each stop offers a different way to connect with the cultural depth of Da Nang.

Touch Sports
This National Day holiday, Da Nang will also become a gathering place for sporting activities on land, on the river and at sea.
From August 27 to 30, Thanh Khe Beach will host the National Coastal Rowing Championship, Sailing Championship, National Youth Stand-Up Paddleboard Championship and National Club Stand-Up Paddleboard Championship 2026.
On the morning of August 30, around 3,000–4,000 participants are expected to join the “Cùng Việt Nam tiến bước” community walk at March 29 Square.
Also on August 30, the 2026 Da Nang Traditional Boat Racing Championship will take place on the Han River, with the racing section extending from Han River Bridge towards Dragon Bridge.
Especially from August 30 to September 6, the Heineken Pickleball World Cup 2026 will bring an international sporting atmosphere to Da Nang. The tournament includes national categories for Open, Kids, Junior, Senior and Master players, along with more than 150 individual events by age group and skill level. The opening ceremony is expected to take place on the afternoon of September 2 at Tien Son Sports Arena.
A holiday in Da Nang, therefore, is not only about sightseeing or relaxation. It can also begin with a community walk, a pickleball match, exciting competitions on the river or energetic sports by the sea.

Touch Culture
Culture and the event atmosphere appear in many different forms during this year’s National Day holiday, from community festivals and exhibitions to traditional arts and entertainment spaces for both residents and visitors.
From August 20, the event atmosphere begins to spread across the Ngu Hanh Son coastal area. HORECFEX Vietnam 2026 takes place on August 20–21 at Ariyana Convention Centre, while Danang Summer Fest 2026 runs from August 20–23 in the same area, with free admission throughout all four days. The festival is expected to welcome around 20,000 visitors, featuring more than 50 booths offering food, beverages, summer fashion and handicrafts, alongside music performances, entertainment, family activities and the Da Nang’s Got Talent 2026 competition.
Also from August 20–22, the Ngu Hanh Son Vu Lan Festival 2026 adds another cultural highlight to Da Nang’s August calendar. Together, these events create a lively transition from the summer season into the peak National Day holiday period.
From August 26 to September 15, the Da Nang Fine Arts Museum will present the exhibition “Urban Sketches of Da Nang”, accompanied by the Artist Talk “Watercolor – Techniques and Materials” on August 26. It offers another way to see the city through sketches, architecture and the perspectives of artists.
On August 30, the Da Nang Traditional Arts Theatre will stage the Tuong performance “Hon Vong Phu”, offering visitors another opportunity to discover traditional Vietnamese theatre.
In the western part of the city, from August 29 to September 2, the Co Tu Village Festival at Dong Giang Heaven’s Gate Tourism Area will introduce visitors to experiences associated with the local community’s cultural traditions.
Meanwhile, street music, the street carnival, Bai Choi singing and artistic programs in Hoi An and My Son create multiple meeting points between traditional culture and contemporary life.
Da Nang can therefore be experienced not only through landscapes, but also through music, art, community stories and values that have been preserved across generations.

Touch Offers – Touch Experiences
Alongside events and experiences, the September 2 holiday also comes with useful offers and services to help visitors plan their trip more conveniently.
On September 2, visitors can enjoy free admission to selected museums in the city, offering more opportunities to explore local history, fine arts and Cham culture.
Mikazuki Water Park 365 is offering a back-to-school promotion for students nationwide, with tickets from VND 125,000 per person, valid from August 3 to September 6, 2026.
Visitors planning to explore Sun World Ba Na Hills also have an additional transport option with the free Da Nang – Ba Na shuttle bus, operating on a trial basis from August 8 to December 31, 2026. The service departs from the Novotel Danang area and stops at several pickup points around the city.
In addition, hotels, resorts and entertainment venues across Da Nang are offering a range of accommodation, dining and experience promotions during the holiday.
Instead of simply deciding “where to go,” visitors can combine several layers of experience within one journey: a day by the sea, an evening along the Han River, a trip into the heritage areas, or a relaxing resort stay at their own pace.
One Holiday – Many Ways to Experience Da Nang
“Touch the Rhythm, Embrace the Pride” is not only about the events taking place over a few National Day holiday dates.
It can be the moment you join the atmosphere of Danang Summer Fest before the holiday, stand by the Han River waiting for Dragon Bridge’s fire and water show or the Han River Bridge rotation, follow an arts program back to traditional values, experience the heritage of Hoi An and My Son, feel the energy of sporting events, or simply spend time by the sea and enjoy the holiday at your own rhythm.
From the coast to the urban center, from heritage to local culture, and from community activities to major sporting events, this year’s September 2 holiday opens up many ways for every visitor to find their own point of connection with Da Nang.
Touch the sea. Touch heritage. Touch culture. Touch sports. Touch new experiences. Touch the rhythm, embrace the pride — with Da Nang this National Day holiday.
