It places a special emphasis on the local government’s dedicated focus on golf as a key driver in the development of high-quality tourism.

In the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic, as part of a strategic effort to rejuvenate tourism with a focus on specialized markets, particularly in the realm of golf tourism, the city has made a significant commitment. This includes hosting the BRG Open Championship Da Nang, an esteemed international golf tournament affiliated with the Asian Tour, for three consecutive years spanning from 2022 to 2024. Simultaneously, Da Nang is actively advancing plans to host the AGTC 2025, a prestigious golf event organized by the International Association of Golf Tour Operators.

These trends include the increasing prevalence of international golf tournaments, the development of international golf tourism through private-public partnerships, and the expansion of golf tourism business, especially the rise of Southeast Asian countries as premier golf destinations in the coming years.

“In Southeast Asia, and specifically in Vietnam, golf managers at the event expect a growing popularity among golfers from Singapore and China due to the trend of consolidating golf projects in these two markets,” Ms. An further shared. She emphasized that the GCMC Summit 2023 is organized efficiently and with quality.
