From 11–13 March 2026, Da Nang City participated for the first time in MITT Moscow 2026 – the International Travel & Tourism Exhibition, held at the Crocus Expo International Exhibition Center in Moscow, Russian Federation. The event is recognised as one of the largest and most prestigious tourism trade fairs in the Eurasian region.
This year’s exhibition brings together over 1,000 exhibitors from 40 countries, presenting tourism products through national pavilions and destination showcases. The event is expected to welcome more than 16,400 visitors, along with over 40 specialised discussion sessions and the participation of more than 265 speakers and industry experts. Participation in MITT Moscow 2026 represents an important promotion activity for Da Nang to strengthen the visibility of its tourism destination in the Russian and CIS markets.
Based on the advantages of Da Nang as a coastal destination and the travel characteristics of visitors from Russia and the CIS, who tend to favour longer stays and relatively high spending, the city focuses on introducing authentic travel experiences featuring its strengths in beach resort tourism combined with cultural and nature-based experiences—products that align well with the preferences of Russian travellers. In addition, Da Nang also presents a diverse ecosystem of experiences including cultural heritage, distinctive cuisine, entertainment and shopping, further positioning the city as a dynamic, modern beach destination rich in identity.
The Da Nang tourism pavilion at the exhibition covers 18 square metres, with the participation of five tourism enterprises, including The Pearl Hoi An, Bellerive Hoi An Resort & Spa, Da Nang Mikazuki Japanese Resorts & Spa, Anex Vietnam Trading and Tourism Co., Ltd., and Travel House Vietnam Tourism and Media Joint Stock Company. Through the event, these businesses have the opportunity to strengthen connections, exchange information and expand cooperation with tour operators and travel agencies in the Russian and CIS markets.

Meetings and exchanges with partners at MITT Moscow
Although there are currently no direct flights from Russia to Da Nang, the Russian market has shown positive growth trends for the city’s tourism sector. In 2025, the number of Russian visitors to Da Nang reached more than 171,000 arrivals, nearly doubling compared to 2024, and ranking among the top 15 international markets of the city.
Entering 2026, the Russian market continues to record encouraging growth signals. In the first two months of the year, Russia moved into the top 10 international source markets for Da Nang, accounting for 2.94% of the city’s total international arrivals. Visitor numbers from this market are forecast to increase by around 50% in 2026, indicating significant growth potential in the coming period.
Along with market growth, air connectivity is also expanding. Major tour operators such as Anex Tour and Crystal Bay are planning to operate charter flights bringing Russian tourists to Da Nang. From April 2026, charter flights are expected to expand from 12 cities in Russia and neighbouring regions, including Moscow, Blagoveshchensk, Ekaterinburg, Irkutsk, Kazan, Khabarovsk, Krasnoyarsk, Novokuznetsk, Novosibirsk, Vladivostok, Samara and Minsk to Da Nang.
Da Nang’s participation and direct promotion at MITT Moscow 2026 is therefore expected to enhance destination awareness and create favourable conditions for expanding the frequency and scale of charter flights in the near future.
Alongside the exhibition activities, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang is also collaborating with Yango Ads to implement a digital marketing campaign promoting the destination across Yango’s digital ecosystem in the Russian and CIS markets. The campaign focuses on introducing Da Nang as a premium beach resort destination combined with cultural and nature-based experiences, helping strengthen destination branding and expand access to both travellers and tourism partners in the region.
Through participation in MITT Moscow 2026, together with strengthened destination promotion via travel partners and OTA platforms targeting the Russian market, Da Nang continues to position itself as an ideal beach resort destination in Vietnam for travellers from Russia and the CIS. These efforts will help create a strong foundation for the expansion of this market in the coming years, contributing to the diversification of international visitor markets—particularly those with longer stays and higher spending capacity—in support of the city’s tourism development goals.
