According to the latest updated summer charter flight plan of ANEX VIETNAM TRADING AND TOURISM CO., LTD., Da Nang continues to be identified as one of the key destinations within its network serving travelers from the Russian Federation, CIS countries, and Belarus. Compared to previously reported plans, both the scale and frequency of operations have been significantly increased, reflecting a strong recovery in market demand.

Specifically, from April 16 to October 31, 2026, charter flights to Da Nang will be operated from 12 cities across the Russian Federation, CIS countries, and Belarus. With a maximum frequency of approximately 57 flights per month—equivalent to around 12,916 passengers monthly—the total number of visitors is expected to reach approximately 68,160 throughout the Summer 2026 season. This provides a solid foundation for the city’s tourism sector to further enhance service quality, refine its tourism ecosystem, and prepare to welcome a large influx of international visitors during peak season.

Marking the beginning of this plan, on April 16, 2026, Da Nang welcomed its first flight from the Russian market, operated by ANEX VIETNAM in collaboration with VietJet Air. Flight VJ7989 from Vladivostok, carrying 220 passengers, not only signaled the return of the Russian market but also opened a new phase of acceleration in restoring and expanding connectivity with the CIS region.

At the national level, from April 1 to October 31, 2026, ANEX VIETNAM is expected to operate a flight network from approximately 20 cities in the Russian Federation, CIS countries, and Belarus to destinations such as Nha Trang, Phan Thiet, Phan Rang, and Da Nang. The total maximum frequency is projected at around 279 flights per month, with a capacity of approximately 40,365 passengers monthly, equivalent to an estimated total of 251,430 visitors during Summer 2026. This scale highlights the strong return of the Eastern European market and opens opportunities for distributing visitor flows across multiple destinations.

In the context of Vietnam’s tourism sector focusing on key international markets, Russia and the CIS are considered strategic source markets, capable of delivering stable visitor volumes, longer stays, and higher spending levels. This segment plays a crucial role in increasing tourism revenue and extending seasonality.

In recent times, Da Nang’s tourism industry has proactively implemented a series of coordinated promotion and marketing activities in this market. Notably, the city participated in the MITT International Travel Fair (March 11–13, 2026), launched a digital communication campaign on the Yango ecosystem from April to June 2026, and collaborated with travel agencies, airlines, and tourism enterprises to organize famtrip delegations from Russia and CIS countries to survey tourism services in Da Nang.

The maintenance and expansion of charter flights from the Russian Federation and CIS region in Summer 2026 is not only a key step in attracting international markets but also clearly reflects Da Nang’s strategic direction toward high-value visitor segments. These travelers typically seek longer stays and deeper, more connected experiences, thereby setting higher expectations for the quality of tourism products and services.

From this perspective, Da Nang is gradually shifting its approach—from simply expanding visitor numbers to curating deeper travel experiences, where visitors can reconnect with the core values of the destination. Within this development trajectory, “Return to Origin” is not merely a message but becomes a defining approach to shaping experiences—where nature, culture, and local life are felt authentically, and each journey becomes not just a trip, but a process of rediscovering balance and meaningful connection with sustainable values.
