Da Nang makes its mark at MITT Moscow 2026, Russia – From Top 3 Most Impressive Booths to breakthrough prospects in the Russian market

Participating for the first time in the largest international travel fair in Russia and the CIS region, Da Nang City made a strong impression by being recognized among the Top 3 Most Impressive Booths at the event.

On this occasion, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang also held a working session with Yango – one of the largest technology ecosystems, travel service platforms and OTAs in Russia and the CIS – to promote Da Nang tourism online to this promising market.

At MITT Moscow 2026 International Travel & Tourism Exhibition – one of the largest tourism events across the Eurasian region – the Da Nang tourism booth left a remarkable impression when it was honored by the organizers as one of the Top 3 most outstanding and impressive booths among 44 participating booths. The award not only recognized the booth’s investment in visual presentation, promotional content, visitor experience and professional exchange activities, but also reflected the growing appeal of Da Nang as a destination for the Russian and CIS markets.

The Da Nang tourism booth introduced the story of a dynamic and modern seaside destination while still preserving its rich local cultural identity. Key tourism products such as beach resorts, nature experiences, gastronomy and cultural activities were showcased in a vivid and engaging way, attracting strong interest from travel agencies, tourism partners and international visitors. During the exhibition, participating businesses at the Da Nang booth recorded numerous partnership discussions and direct service bookings for future trips to Da Nang.

Working session at Yandex headquarters

As part of the promotional program in Russia, the Da Nang delegation actively conducted networking and working sessions with several major partners in the market. Notably, Mr. Tan Van Vuong – Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang – held a meeting with representatives of Yandex, the largest technology ecosystem, digital advertising platform and OTA network in Russia and the CIS.

Through the discussion, Yandex shared that it is significantly expanding its involvement in the online tourism sector, launching large-scale promotional campaigns supported by substantial advertising budgets as well as attractive incentives and cashback programs for travelers. These initiatives are contributing to a growing demand among Russian travelers searching for and booking international travel services.

Notably, recent reports from the Yandex platform show that tourist interest in Da Nang has increased by 260% compared to the same period last year over the past two months. This figure reflects the rising attention of Russian travelers toward this destination in Central Vietnam. In the coming period, both sides are expected to further strengthen communication cooperation, leveraging Yandex’s digital ecosystem to promote Da Nang tourism more extensively to the Russian and CIS markets.

Making a strong impression at a leading international tourism fair while simultaneously strengthening direct connections with travel businesses and major OTA platforms in Russia is opening positive prospects for Da Nang tourism. This is considered an important step toward expanding the Russian visitor market – a group known for longer stays and higher spending – while also supporting efforts to establish regular direct flights from Russia to Da Nang in the near future.
