Da Nang Tourism promotion in Ho Chi Minh City

In order to provide the information of tourism events, new products as well as the tourism stimulus programme to the key market, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang Tourism Department has successfully organized the Da Nang tourism promotion programme 2017 at 8.00 AM to 11.00 AM on 07 January, 2017 (Saturday) at Novotel Hotel, Ho Chi Minh City.

In recent years, Da Nang has been becoming a dynamid tourism city with many international events. From 2008 until now, the Da Nang International Fireworks Competition has marked a milestone in terms of “event” of Da Nang City. Da Nang has successfully organized and welcomed many international events such as Clipper Round the World Yacht Race 2015-2016 (February 2016), Da Nang Beach-Leisure and M.I.C.E Travel Mart (June 2016), Asian Beach Games 5 (September 2016)…and the upcoming APEC 2017, contributing to branding Da Nang as a Destionation of Events and Festival.

2016 marked a remarkable year for Da Nang Tourism with the title of Asia Leading Event and Festival Destination awarded by the World Travel Award.

To meet the demand of tourists in 2017, Da Nang has started to operate new tourism products and upgrade the infrastructure. By November 2016, there have been 575 hotels and resorts with 21,648 rooms. In 2017, to ensure the progress for APEC as well as tourists coming to Da Nang, many constructions are operated such as Diamond Tower Da Nang, JW Marriot, Alphanam Luxury, Sheraton Hotel, Ariyana Exhibition and Convention Center (Furama). The International Terminal of Da Nang International Airport is expected to officially operate by March 2017 with 40 check-in counters, 42 immigration counters, 10 flight gates…with the capacity of 4-6 million arrivals per year.

Especilly, to support tourists when visiting Da Nang, the Danang FantastiCity Mobile App has officially operated from 2017 with the functions of providing information and planning trip at anytime without the Internet.
