Da Nang Leads as the Most Searched Destination by Vietnamese Travelers During the “Extended Holiday”

Booking.com – one of the world’s leading online travel platforms – has released its latest data on destinations most searched by Vietnamese travelers in April, particularly during the consecutive holidays of Hung Kings Commemoration Day and April 30 – May 1.

According to Booking.com data for the travel period from April 25 to May 3, 2026, Da Nang ranks first among domestic destinations most searched by Vietnamese travelers. Following are Da Lat, Nha Trang, Vung Tau, Hue, Ho Chi Minh City, Phu Quoc, Hanoi, Mui Ne, and Hoi An. On the international side, cities such as Bangkok, Tokyo, Seoul, Singapore, and Taipei continue to maintain strong appeal.

This ranking reflects a familiar yet increasingly clear travel trend: travelers are prioritizing destinations that offer a seamless combination of relaxation, entertainment, and exploration within a single journey. Coastal cities and major tourism hubs continue to hold stable appeal, especially during extended holidays – when the question is no longer just “where to go,” but “how to experience it.”

Within this context, Da Nang stands out not only for leading the list, but for the sense of completeness it offers for a holiday. As two major holidays connect to form a rare extended break, a journey to Da Nang is no longer confined to a fixed itinerary, but opens up to more flexible and layered experiences.

Here, each day can begin gently – with the blue sea, soft sands, and the open air of early morning. From there, the journey naturally expands into vibrant entertainment, outdoor activities, and gradually transitions into cultural spaces – where visitors can slow down and connect more deeply with local life and identity.

This period also marks the beginning of the city’s beach tourism season, with a wide range of activities being rolled out in sync. From cultural programs and festivals to summer-opening events, the entire urban space is continuously activated, creating a flow of experiences that extends from day into night.

What sets Da Nang apart is not only what it offers, but how these experiences are connected. The sea, the city, nature, and culture do not exist separately, but intertwine seamlessly, allowing each journey to unfold naturally. Visitors can move between different spaces with ease, yet still feel a distinct shift in atmosphere and emotion at every stage.

Leading the search rankings, therefore, is not merely a number. It reflects a destination that is shaping a new approach to travel – one that places experience and emotion at its core.

And when each journey becomes more than exploration – when it becomes a return to balance, a reconnection with nature and with oneself – Da Nang is not just a place to visit, but a destination to return to, time and again, in many different ways.
