The 4th Da Nang Asian Film Festival (DANAFF IV) is honored to welcome Jane Seymour – legendary British actress, producer, and founder of the Open Hearts Foundation – to this year’s festival.
With a career spanning more than five decades, Jane Seymour is one of the most distinguished icons of international film and television. She is widely recognized for her performances in acclaimed productions such as Live and Let Die, Somewhere in Time, East of Eden, War and Remembrance, and the six-season television series Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman.
She currently stars in Harry Wild, a television series produced for Acorn TV and BBC America. The show received widespread critical acclaim upon its debut in spring 2022 and is now airing its fifth season.
Throughout her career, Jane Seymour has demonstrated remarkable versatility across film, television, and Broadway theatre. Her achievements have earned her multiple Golden Globe and Emmy Awards, as well as an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) honor bestowed by Queen Elizabeth II in recognition of her outstanding contributions to the arts.
Beyond her acclaimed dramatic roles, Seymour has also captivated audiences with her comedic performances in Wedding Crashers, appeared alongside Robert De Niro in The War with Grandpa, and starred with Michael Douglas and Alan Arkin in Netflix’s The Kominsky Method. She continues to lead the cast of the popular mystery series Harry Wild.
Through her own production company, Seymour has produced and starred in numerous projects, including Sunstroke, A Passion for Justice, Praying Mantis, The Absolute Truth, Enslavement: The Fanny Kemble Story, Murder in the Mirror, Dr. Quinn, The Movie, A Marriage of Convenience, and Blackout. She also served as executive producer of the documentary Glen Campbell… I’ll Be Me.
In addition to her distinguished artistic career, Jane Seymour is a dedicated philanthropist. Through the Open Hearts Foundation, she has supported more than 70 nonprofit organizations across the United States, promoting the belief that adversity can be transformed into opportunity and positive change.
The presence of Jane Seymour – one of the most respected figures in world cinema – is expected to become one of the highlights of DANAFF IV.
