International flight 3k541 with 180 passengers got off Danang International Airport at 19:35 and the first passengers from Danang to Singapore also departed at 20:15 in the same day. There are many direct flights from almost Asian tourism markets to Danang and opening the new direct flight hopes to carry further international passengers to Danang
General Director of Jetstar Asia Airways Barathan Pasupathi, who was also present on the flight, said Jetstar Asia Airways is the first low – cost airline connecting between Danang and Singapore. The route is expected to contribute to boost Jetstar Asia’ development of the first low-cost airline in Vietnam and attract travel agencies, tour operators and entrepreneurs, who usually travel to Singapore. Currently, Jetstar Pacific is operating 16 domestic routes and 6 international routes. Danang is the second route of Jetstar Asia after the first route in Ho Chi Minh City. Deputy Director of Da Nang city Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Tran Chi Cuong said Danang has been developing and is one of the most attractive destinations on the rise around the world. As expected in this year, Danang will welcome 4,6 million visitors, , including 1.25 million foreigners. With a number of Southeast and Northeast Asia visitors, opening the new direct flight between Danang and Singapore will make many good conditions to local businesses and authorities in tourism’s promotion.
The airline operates 3 flights / week on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday by Airbus A320 aircraft, with 180 economy class seats
