With the theme “A Fusion of Korean and Vietnamese Culinary Excellence,” this special evening marks the collaboration between Sheraton Grand Danang Beach Resort & SPA and JW Marriott Dongdaemun Square Seoul, promising to take guests on a refined and inspiring gastronomic journey, as three chefs from two nations come together to craft an exclusive 6-course dinner.
Representing Korea, BLT Steak Seoul is the Korean outpost of the globally renowned BLT Steak brand, founded by celebrated chef Laurent Tourondel. Known for redefining the traditional steakhouse by blending classic techniques with modern sophistication, BLT Steak Seoul continues this vision by harmonizing American culinary culture with Asian influences, catering to the refined tastes of Korean diners.
At this event, guest chefs Kim Jung Sub and Oh Seo Woong will showcase their culinary finesse through premium ingredients and elevated techniques. With over a decade of experience in leading fine dining kitchens across Korea, Chef Kim is recognized for his expertise in meat preparation and precise temperature control. Chef Oh, on the other hand, brings a fresh and elegant perspective to plating and flavor harmony. His accolades include Gold Medals at the Korea International Cooking Competition in 2019 and 2022, as well as a Silver Medal at the Korea Food Grand Master Festival in 2021, among other distinguished honors. These accomplishments reflect not only his technical excellence but also his distinct culinary identity, which he will express in this remarkable dinner.
Joining the two distinguished guest chefs is Chef Huynh Thong from The Grill, the signature steakhouse at Sheraton Grand Danang Beach Resort & SPA. As a Central Vietnam native with a strong foundation in grilling techniques and extensive experience in contemporary European kitchens, Chef Thong is known for his deep understanding of local ingredients and his seamless ability to fuse Eastern and Western flavors. The Grill, with its sophisticated and private ambiance, will serve as the perfect stage for this culinary trio, where every dish is a carefully composed expression of Vietnamese and Korean culinary harmony.
The six-course menu is a symphony of modern technique and cross-cultural inspiration. The evening begins with a refreshing Prosecco Cantaloupe to gently awaken the palate, followed by Cheese Sable and Smoked Brie Cheese, paired with De Bortoli from Riverina, Australia to balance the dish’s creamy richness. Guests will then be guided through layers of refined flavors with Sous-vide Salmon topped with Osetra caviar, and Duck Breast, both highlighting the evening’s depth and sophistication. The highlight of the menu is a beautifully marbled US Prime Striploin, showcasing firm texture, natural sweetness, and lingering richness. This main course is best enjoyed with a choice of red wine: either Salentein Portillo Malbec or Clarendelle, both selected to enhance the beef’s umami and finish. The meal concludes on a light, sweet note with Crepe Souffle drizzled in passion fruit sauce, a memorable and elegant ending.
Two pricing options are available for the evening: 2,980,000++ VND per guest for the standard wine pairing and 3,980,000++ VND for the premium wine experience. Wines have been thoughtfully selected from France, Australia, Italy, and Argentina, renowned regions with distinctive winemaking heritages, to complement each course and elevate the overall dining journey.
