LIGHTING UP THE CHRISTMAS TREE OF LIGHT AT THE DANANG X’MAS – NEW YEAR FESTIVAL 2025
On December 16, 2024, the Danang Department of Tourism will proudly launch the “Lighting Up the Christmas Tree of Light” campaign, heralding the beginning of the Danang Christmas and New Year Festival 2025 (Danang X’mas – New Year Festival 2025).
The festival’s highlight will be the breathtaking 20-meter-tall Christmas Tree of Light, standing alongside a unique giant gift box and the dazzling “Welcome to Danang 2025” installation. With its exquisite design and vibrant lighting, these check-in spaces will provide the perfect backdrop for locals and tourists to create unforgettable memories while enhancing the city’s lively and warm festive spirit.
Talented children, singers, artists, and dancers will treat participants to a variety of vibrant artistic performances, including traditional Vietnamese music, contemporary dance, and more. The moment the tree lights up will mark a powerful beginning to a memorable and emotional festive season. The event will conclude with the heartfelt activity of writing Christmas wishes and welcoming the New Year, promoting connection and joy while expressing hopes for a peaceful, happy, and prosperous year.
The Danang Christmas and New Year Festival 2025 will unfold for the first time over 20 days, from December 14, 2024, to January 2, 2025, across three central locations:
1. The northern landscape platform and the eastern bank of Dragon Bridge, including Eastern Dragon Bridge Park (Tran Hung Dao – Ly Nam De area). 2. The northern landscape platform on the western bank of Dragon Bridge (opposite VTV8). 3. The southern landscape platform on the western bank of Dragon Bridge (opposite the Cham Sculpture Museum). The festival promises unique cultural, tourism, and entertainment activities designed to create exceptional experiences and lasting impressions for locals and visitors during the New Year celebration. Notable programs and activities within the festival include: – The opening ceremony of the Danang Christmas and New Year Festival 2025 will be at 6:00 PM on December 20, 2024, at the northern landscape platform and eastern bank of Dragon Bridge, as well as Eastern Dragon Bridge Park. – The “Fun with Santa Claus” Parade and Performance featuring Miss International Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy at 8:00 PM on December 20, 2024, starting from Bach Dang Pedestrian Street (Bach Dang – Binh Minh 6 intersection) to the Christmas Tree of Light (northern landscape platform, western bank of Dragon Bridge, opposite VTV8). The Fun with Santa Claus Program, a delightful evening of interactive games, music, and dance, will be held at 8:00 PM on December 24, 2024, at the northern landscape platform, eastern bank of Dragon Bridge. – The Christmas and New Year Market 2025 from 5:00 PM to 10:30 PM, running from December 20, 2024, to January 2, 2025, at Eastern Dragon Bridge Park.
The Entertainment and Experience Space, a lively area filled with interactive activities, live music, and local food, will be open from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM, running from December 20, 2024, to January 2, 2025, at the northern landscape platform, eastern bank of Dragon Bridge. – Artistic performances from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM are held nightly at the northern landscape platform on the eastern bank of Dragon Bridge. The Lighting Up the Christmas Tree of Light event warmly welcomes visitors from near and far while honoring the local residents who energize the city with their spirit. Danang envisions that these meaningful moments will inspire beautiful, lasting memories for everyone, from the friendly people of Danang to the valued guests discovering and cherishing this extraordinary city.
