From December 18-20, Da Nang People Committee organized the Tourism Promotion workshop with the main theme was “Da Nang – New Discovery in Asia” in Sydney during the Clipper Race stop over there.
With the attendance of Mr. Luong Thanh Nghi – Vietnamese Ambassador to Australia, Mr. Hoang Minh Son – Vietnamese Cunsulate General in Sydney, Mr. Tran Chi Cuong – Deputy Director of Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and around 70 Australian tourism businesses, organizations, media and crew members of Da Nang – Vietnam team.
Speaking at the workshop, Mr. Luong Thanh Nghi appreciated the efforts of Da Nang ciry and the Clipper Race in promoting the city to the world. Although Da Nang are becoming more and more popular with Australian tourists, there are still many people have not heard about this destination. Therefore, organizing this tourism promotion workshop in Sydney during the stopover of Da Nang – Vietnam yacht there is very important.
Mr. Luong Thanh Nghi expressed his desire that the two countries will have a greater exchange of information, creating business opportunities. He hoped that more and more visitors will visit our charming Vietnam. The Ambassador also encourage tourism businesses to promote tourism between the both sides.
At the workshop, representatives from Da Nang also introduced about the city’s tourism information, tourism potential, favourable conditions and unique tourism products to Australian tourists in particular and other foreign travellers in general
