From 2–3 February 2026, the wedding of bride Shreya and groom Ayush (India) was held in Da Nang, welcoming more than 250 guests. The event unfolded in a refined setting, blending distinctive Indian wedding rituals such as Gauri Pooja, Sehrabandi, and Baraat, creating a ceremony rich in emotion and cultural identity.

Implemented under the 2026 Wedding Tourism Attraction Program, the city extended a warm welcome to the couple and their guests upon arrival at Da Nang International Airport, featuring congratulatory messages displayed on LED screens in the arrivals area, along with support for customs clearance of luggage and wedding equipment. Representatives of the DANANG TOURISM PROMOTION CENTER presented flowers and souvenirs and conveyed best wishes, expressing appreciation for the couple’s choice of Da Nang for their special day.

In addition, the city supported a range of local cultural experiences, including traditional musical performances. Notably, a silent fireworks display at the hotel marked a new highlight of the 2026 program, enhancing the overall experience and creating a memorable emotional accent for the wedding celebration.

Sharing their thoughts at the event, the couple expressed deep appreciation for the city’s warm and thoughtful hospitality, while praising Da Nang’s destination appeal and its diverse, high-end resort and service offerings.

The wedding of Shreya and Ayush (India) not only marked the opening milestone for Da Nang’s wedding tourism activities in 2026, but also demonstrated the city’s strategic, professional, and experience-driven approach to promoting and attracting destination weddings. In 2026, Da Nang continues to strengthen the promotion of its wedding tourism brand, “Da Nang – Where Happiness Begins,” with a focus on supporting wedding events, honeymoons, and related activities—thereby extending visitor stays and increasing tourist spending.

A key innovation of the 2026 program lies in its flexible support scale aligned with current wedding trends, alongside a deeper, experience-oriented approach that emphasizes local culture and personalized services tailored to different source markets. In particular, the silent celebratory fireworks are positioned as a distinctive highlight of Da Nang’s wedding tourism offering.

At the same time, the city is enhancing public–private partnerships by connecting tourism businesses, wedding planners, and airlines, while accelerating the application of digital technologies in promotion and communications.

In 2025, Da Nang welcomed and supported more than 50 destination wedding events from key markets such as the United States, Australia, India, and overseas Vietnamese communities. In Quarter 1 of 2026 (January to March), a number of hotels and resorts—including Hyatt Regency Danang Resort & Spa, Shilla Monogram Danang, Vinpearl Resort & Golf Nam Hoi An, and Furama Resort Danang—recorded strong demand and bookings for wedding events.

These results indicate that wedding tourism is steadily emerging as a specialized tourism product, contributing to the positioning of Da Nang as an attractive regional wedding destination, with a focus on international and high-end market segments.
