On the afternoon of December 13, the Consulate General of Japan in Da Nang organized a solo piano concert performed by international pianist Hibiki Tamura, in celebration of the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam.
The event was attended by Mr. Nguyen Dinh Vinh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee, and Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Thi, Vice Chairwoman of the Da Nang People’s Committee.
According to Mr. Mori Takedo, Consul General of Japan in Da Nang, 2025 marks a series of significant milestones, celebrating the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam as well as the establishment of the new Da Nang City following its merger with Quang Nam Province.
“In this meaningful year, the Japanese community in the locality wishes to extend its congratulations and gratitude to Da Nang City. Therefore, we invited world-renowned pianist Hibiki Tamura to perform at today’s concert,” the Consul General of Japan in Da Nang shared at the event.
Pianist Hibiki Tamura is a prominent young pianist from Japan. He began studying the piano at the age of three and has won numerous awards at international competitions, including first prize at the Long-Thibaud International Piano Competition, a world-renowned contest held in Paris in 2007.
The concert marked a significant milestone in Viet Nam–Japan cultural exchange, offering audiences the opportunity to immerse themselves in a refined, authentic, and emotionally rich classical music atmosphere.
