Named after the Liberation Day of Quang Nam Province on March 24, 1975, March 24 Square is a vibrant cultural and community space that reflects the daily life and spirit of local residents.

Located in the heart of Tam Ky City, formerly in Quang Nam Province (now part of Ban Thach Ward, Da Nang City), the square covers an area of nearly 4.7 hectares, comprising key structures such as the main square, pedestrian walkway, Victory Monument and fountain, service and utility buildings, and landscaped gardens with a diverse tree system.
Beyond serving as an architectural and recreational space, March 24 Square also functions as a venue for major political, cultural, and social events. It regularly hosts large-scale festivals, tourism and sports activities, art performances, and entertainment events.
During the Lunar New Year (Tet) festival, the square becomes a dazzling scene of color, adorned with creative miniatures such as flower boats, golden apricot blossoms, zodiac mascots, golden dragons, and display areas for Spring publications and calligraphy exhibits. Each year’s decoration theme conveys fresh and inspiring messages, encouraging entrepreneurship, optimism, and hopes for peace and prosperity in the new year.
The square is also a familiar gathering place for locals in their daily routines. Every morning and evening, it comes alive with the laughter and footsteps of people exercising, playing sports, strolling, or watching the sunset. As night falls, the area sparkles with lights, lively street food stalls, coffee vendors, and the joyful chatter of families and young groups relaxing after a long day.
Today, March 24 Square has become an unmissable stop in any journey exploring the southern part of the city. Visitors can enjoy fun activities such as roller skating, bumper cars, or simply sit back with a cool drink and savor local street snacks at nearby stalls — a perfect way to experience the authentic local rhythm of life.
During festivals and special events, visitors are immersed in a unique atmosphere of traditional and contemporary art performances, fireworks displays, and shopping experiences featuring OCOP products and local specialties.
All these experiences at March 24 Square offer visitors a deeper understanding of the region’s cultural heritage, as well as the friendliness and hospitality of its people.
