Set within the culturally rich space of the Da Nang Museum of Cham Sculpture, the event “Chăm Hội – A Dance of Cultural Harmony” unfolded as an immersive and emotional journey—where heritage was not only observed, but truly felt in a vivid and intimate way.

No longer confined to quiet displays behind glass, Cham culture on April 5, 2026, came to life—expressed through sound, movement, and direct interaction with participants.

Touch the Identity – When Heritage Steps Beyond Exhibition Spaces

One of the most engaging highlights of the event was the series of hands-on workshops, offering visitors a direct connection to traditional Cham craft villages. From the intricate brocade weaving of Mỹ Nghiệp, to the rhythmic pottery shaping of Bàu Trúc, and the delicate woodblock printing on dó paper—each experience created a meaningful bridge between people and heritage.

It was no longer about simply “seeing,” but about “doing,” “touching,” and “understanding.” This approach opened up a fresh perspective on Cham culture, especially for younger generations—true to the vision of the project “Chărm – The Grace of Cham Culture.”

Touch the Moment – When Art Becomes a Cultural Narrative

As the event unfolded, the atmosphere deepened through a series of captivating performances by artists from the My Son World Cultural Heritage Performing Arts Center. The music, dance, and stage movements were more than performances—they were storytelling, narrating the journey of a culture that has endured, evolved, and been passed down through generations.

A special highlight was the traditional Cham costume fashion show, where cultural beauty was expressed through intricate designs, colors, and textures. The experience concluded with a reenactment of a traditional Cham wedding—both solemn and symbolic—leaving a lasting impression on the audience.

Touch the Connection – When Culture Becomes a Journey of Youth

Beyond being an experiential event, “Chăm Hội – A Dance of Cultural Harmony” was also the result of a creative and collaborative journey led by young people—students from FPT University Da Nang, as part of the “Chărm” project.

Through activities such as the premiere of the promotional clip “Cham Essence”, the event presented a more approachable and contemporary perspective on Cham culture. It helped bring heritage closer to younger audiences, while inspiring a sense of awareness and responsibility in preserving local cultural values.

A Journey Beyond Experience

As the day came to a close, “Chăm Hội – A Dance of Cultural Harmony” left behind not only memorable moments, but also deeper reflections on how heritage can be experienced in contemporary life.

When culture is no longer distant, but becomes something we can touch, feel, and connect with, each participant takes away more than just an experience—they carry a piece of memory, where original values continue to be preserved and shared in their own unique way.
