Da Nang, August 28, 2024 – The prestigious BRG Open Golf Championship Danang 2024 event will be hosted at the esteemed Legend Danang Golf Resort from August 29 to August 31, 2024. This renowned resort, known for its impeccable facilities and challenging course, will be the backdrop for approximately 144 domestic and international golfers competing for a generous total prize fund of USD 100,000.
Following the notable success of 2022 and 2023, this marks the third consecutive year that Da Nang, a city committed to promoting golf tourism, has been honored with hosting the tournament. This placement reinforces the city’s aspiration to satisfy the growing demand for resort-based golf tourism and consolidate its standing as a leading Asian golf destination.
The BRG Open Golf Championship Danang 2024 forms a significant part of the Asian Development Tour (ADT) system of the Asian Tour and will be carried out in a 54-hole stroke play format over three 18-hole rounds at the esteemed Nicklaus Course at Legend Danang Golf Resort. Following the initial 36 holes, a cut will be applied, permitting only the top 50 players and ties to advance. The ultimate victor will be the player with the lowest gross score at the tournament’s close.
Vietnam has a diverse representation of 20 athletes among the nearly 144 participants this year, including eight professional and 12 amateur golfers with impressive achievements: including 8 professional golfers such as Trương Chí Quân, Nguyễn Nhất Long, Nguyễn Hữu Quyết, Doãn Văn Định, Trần Văn Hoàng, Lê Hữu Giang, Đoàn Văn Nam, and Nguyễn Việt Hồ. Additionally, 12 amateur golfers with impressive achievements include Nguyễn Anh Minh, Đoàn Uy, Lê Minh Nghĩa, Nguyễn Đặng Minh, Nguyễn Trọng Hoàng, Ngô Thanh Sơn, Nguyễn Tuấn Anh, Phạm Thế Nam, Trần Thế Bảo, Hà Nam Khánh, Nguyễn Vũ Quốc Anh, and Nguyễn Quang Za Vinh.
Moreover, the tournament includes internationally renowned golfers who have achieved significant success in major professional golf tournaments in the region and globally, showcasing the diversity and talent in the golfing community, such as Rahil Gangjee (India), Khalin Joshi (India), Ahmad Baig (Pakistan), Natipong Srithong (Thailand), Kosuke Hamamoto (Thailand), and Runchanapong Youprayong (Thailand).
