During the BRG Open Golf Championship Danang 2024, Da Nang graciously hosted a Famtrip delegation comprising 20 representatives from international golf travel agencies. Their visit, which took place from August 27 to 30, 2024, was to gain firsthand experience of golf tourism services and explore tourist attractions in the area.
By positioning Da Nang as a distinguished destination for golf enthusiasts and aiming to attract discerning visitors, the BRG Open Golf Championship Danang 2024 provided a valuable opportunity for 20 representatives from key markets, including Japan, Taiwan (China), Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, and Singapore to discover and engage with golf services in Da Nang and Quang Nam.
The delegation thoroughly enjoyed golfing at the Bà Nà Hills Golf Club, designed by the renowned golfer Luke Donald and managed by IMG. This esteemed club has garnered accolades such as “Best Golf Course in Vietnam” for six consecutive years and “Best Golf Course in Asia” five times, most recently in 2021. The group also assessed the offerings at the Legend Danang Golf Resort and the Hoiana Shore Golf Club.
The delegation had the opportunity to explore a range of notable attractions and high-end accommodations in Da Nang and Quang Nam, including visits to Han Market, the historic town of Hoi An, Mikazuki Japanese Resort and Spa Da Nang, Four Points by Sheraton Danang, New World Hoiana Beach Resort, Danang Marriott Resort & Spa, and Sheraton Grand Danang Resort & Convention Center. They also participated in the Welcome Dinner, allowing them to engage with international professional golfers as part of the BRG Open Golf Championship Danang 2024.
Following their golfing experience in Da Nang, the delegation expressed their profound appreciation for the city’s facilities, comprehensive tourism offerings, and especially its golf tourism. They also conveyed their gratitude for the warm and attentive hospitality they received, expressing their anticipation of establishing enduring partnerships in the future.
Mr. Wang Tien Bao, Senior Marketing Director for Sports and Tourism at Lion Travel and a member of the Famtrip delegation, stated: “The golf courses in Da Nang are very conveniently located near the airport and key city areas, making transportation easy. In the future, Lion Travel plans to collaborate with Starlux Airlines to organize a golf tournament in Central Vietnam, where over 110 golfers will participate.
