If you are seeking a truly unique Vietnamese cultural experience, the Hoi An Lune Center for the Performing Arts is a destination you simply cannot miss.

Hội An Lune Center

HOI AN LUNE CENTER – WHERE ART RESONATES BETWEEN TWO RIVERS

ocated at the confluence of the Hoai River and the Thu Bon River, the Hoi An Lune Center stands as an artistic gem amidst the tranquil charm of the ancient town of Faifo. The theater’s distinctive bamboo dome architecture draws inspiration from the image of a full moon rising — a symbol of harmony and completeness — perfectly blending into the serene landscape of water and sky in this heritage land.

The performance space is a spherical dome with a diameter of 24.5 meters, a height of 13 meters, and a floor area of 470 square meters. Inside is a round stage surrounded by 299 semi-circular seats, gradually elevated like an amphitheater. Each sunset transforms the theater into a glowing lantern, where the echoes of gongs, T’rưng xylophones, horns, and elephant drums fill the air — signaling the beginning of a spectacular cultural journey that celebrates the traditions, spirit, and communal life of Vietnam’s ethnic minorities, particularly through the world-renowned bamboo circus Teh Dar.

In the K’Ho language, Teh Dar means “going in circles”, symbolizing the preservation and continuity of diverse ethnic cultures. The performance masterfully combines bamboo circus, acrobatic choreography, and tribal-inspired live music, showcasing the raw yet poetic vitality of Vietnam’s Central Highlands. Having toured multiple countries, Teh Dar has captivated both Vietnamese and international audiences with its storytelling artistry and deeply immersive cultural expression.

Like the merging rivers that nourish life and continuity, the Hoi An Lune Center serves as a meeting point of creativity and tradition — not only celebrating human talent and artistic beauty but also acting as a bridge connecting Vietnamese culture with the world.
