The Da Nang City Administrative Center Building, situated at the intersection of Tran Phu and Ly Tu Trong streets on a plot exceeding 23,000 square meters, overlooks the scenic Han River and adjoins the historic Dien Hai Citadel. It is a monumental edifice with a towering height of 166.8 meters, comprising two basements and 34 floors, and a total area of 65,234 square meters.
The Administrative Center transcends its architectural purpose, heralding a pivotal civic undertaking and embodying the principles of ‘modernity, unity, and efficiency.’ Beyond its administrative function, it serves to catalyze economic endeavors, foster international engagement, and facilitate integration. By embodying the aspirations of urban industrialization and modernization, it inspires optimism for the city’s future and a sense of hope for what is to come.
The Da Nang City Administrative Center represents a significant architectural landmark within the city. Its distinctive design concept, reminiscent of a lighthouse guiding the way, makes the building’s base resemble a ship with a sail extending towards the sea. This serves as a striking symbol of the city’s youthful dynamism and its role as a driving force in the Central and Central Highlands regions.
In addition to its remarkable architecture, the Da Nang City Administrative Center is recognized as a prominent intelligent building in Vietnam, particularly notable for its advanced control and management technology systems. At the core of its technological infrastructure is an integrated building management system (iBMS), facilitating seamless coordination among functional systems through open protocols aligned with industry standards. This integration results in substantial energy and operational cost savings. It fosters a welcoming and comfortable work environment, ultimately enhancing overall work efficiency and reassuring the audience about the city’s commitment to sustainability.
The Administrative Center was put into operation at the end of July 2014 and currently serves as the centralized workplace for 24 departments, agencies, and the People’s Committee of Da Nang City. It accommodates over 1,600 officials, civil servants, and employees, with approximately 600 citizens visiting daily for various administrative matters. The proximity of workspaces facilitates efficient and swift coordination between departments, maximizing interconnectedness and cooperation in expeditiously addressing administrative procedures. Furthermore, the city’s administrative landscape benefits from enhanced interaction due to the incorporation of high-tech services and systems, which facilitate a friendly and efficient public administration system, ultimately enabling residents and businesses to save time and quickly access services.
