Update Situation Of Acute Respiratory Infections Caused By Ncov In Da Nang City On 01 02 2020

From 13h30 on 2nd Feb to 8h00 on 3rd Feb, within all hospitals in Danang, two cases under surveillance for suspected coronavirus has release from the hospital (the patients test negative and showed improvements); meanwhile, there admitted four other cases under investigation.

Until 8am 3rd Feb 2020, Danang city has kept investigating in 25 cases acute respiratory infections caused by nCov, including:

– 24 Vietnamese under investigaton (18 cases at Danang Hospital and 06 cases at Danang Lung Hospital).
– 1 foreign patient (Chinese) is monitored at Da Nang Hospital for Women and Children.

At the moment, most patients has been recovering, a few has light fever.

In total, there monitored 80 cases at hospital, including 55 cases have been discharged, among 24 cases of foreigners (21 Chinese; 02 Malaysians; 01 Czech Republic) and 31 cases of Vietnamese.

Currently there are 37 NEGATIVE cases of Coronavirus, there are none POSITIVE cases of Coronavirus.

There are 18 cases under outpatient treatment (these cases appeared light fever after immigration but not arrived from the area affected by the outbreak, 18/18 cases are healthy. In total, there monitors 36 cases on a daily basis (among 18 foreign patients have recovered and returned their home countries).

Within 2nd Feb, The Center for Disease Control of Danang City has supervised 129 aircraft, 01 ship with 7,603 foreign visitors to migrate the city, detected 03 cases of passengers with signs of mild fever, under outpatient treatment in the community.

From 1st – 2nd February, district health centers conducted spraying of Chloramin B chemical to disinfect the environment to prevent acute respiratory infections caused by new strains of Corona virus at 514 institutions and 24 markets in the city. Today 3rd Feb 2020 will continue to spray at the remaining campus facilities and markets. Afterwards, spraying will be conducted in crowded area under the direction of the City People’s Committee.

For isolation and follow-up collection: The Lung Hospital officially collects the isolation check and monitors new suspected acute respiratory infections caused by nCov in the city, in order to reduce the overload at the Department of Tropical Medicine – Da Nang Hospital.

Meanwhile, the Department of Health assigned Da Nang Hospital to support human resources, supplies, medical equipment, means of protection and infection control; professional, technical implementation of the process of channeling, isolation, infection control for Da Nang Lung Hospital.
