The transition of Tien Sa to a tourism port will be carried on until 2022. For the last 5 years, Danang Port has been on steady growth. Especially container has been rising at 22%, double the growth of national figure.
Currently, Danang Port welcomes 24 container ships every week from the top international companies. According to planning and development strategies, until 2020-2025, capacity of Tien Sa port will reach 10 to 12 million tons.
To achieve this goal, Danang is exploiting Tien Sa Enlargement Project, Period 2 with total investment up to 1000 billion dong, with tentative completion at the end of this year. Until 2022, Tien Sa will be slowly changed to a tourism port.
