On the evening of July 23, 2026, at East Sea Park, the Enjoy Danang Festival 2026 officially opened, launching a vibrant series of cultural, sporting, tourism, leisure and entertainment activities taking place from July 22 to 26, 2026.
Developed around the city’s 2026 tourism theme, “Da Nang – Return to Origins”, this year’s Festival marks a new step forward in the way Da Nang develops its tourism products. Beyond creating a lively festive atmosphere, the city seeks to offer residents and visitors a meaningful journey of discovery, where every activity becomes a “touchpoint” through which they can experience local nature, culture and ways of life with all their senses.
The highlight of the opening night was an elaborately staged artistic programme featuring a contemporary theatrical language that brought together music, dance and performance art. The stage was designed around the image of a sail reaching towards the open sea, symbolising the journey of connection and the aspiration to go further of this land shaped by both river and sea.
Within this setting, audiences were not only invited to enjoy an artistic performance but also guided through the cultural, historical and human stories of Quang through music, lighting and theatrical movement. From rivers and the sea to coastal fishing villages, rural markets and traditional craft villages, and from long-established ways of life to the rhythm of a young and dynamic city, the programme recreated the formation and development of the region while conveying a message of connection between the past, present and future — where original values remain the foundation for sustainable development.
The opening programme offered audiences a distinctive open-air performance space and an unforgettable experience.
The Enjoy Danang Festival 2026 takes place over five days, from July 22 to 26, 2026, at East Sea Park and along Da Nang’s tourist beaches, featuring a wide range of engaging cultural, artistic, sporting, tourism, culinary and entertainment activities. Visitors can not only explore the Festival spaces but also immerse themselves in the rhythm of the city — from sunrise moments by the sea and cultural and culinary spaces rich in the identity of Quang to wellness experiences, nature exploration and community art activities.
A notable new feature of this year’s Festival is a series of themed experiential spaces, creating a continuous journey of discovery from sunrise until late at night.
Among them, the Rural Market Culinary Space (17:00–22:30, July 22–26, 2026, East Sea Park) not only introduces the culinary essence of Quang but also recreates the cultural atmosphere of rural villages, traditional crafts and local life, allowing every dish to tell a story about the land and its people.
For the first time, Da Nang introduces the Da Nang Seaside Experience Route (18:00–22:00, July 23–26, 2026, the beach north of East Sea Park). This coastal art space is brought to life through lighting, installation art and distinctive symbols of the seaside, including basket boats, fishing nets, bamboo and lanterns.
A major highlight is the Light-Up Kite Night, featuring approximately 500 illuminated kites that transform the night sky above the beach into a radiant work of art, offering a completely different experience from the familiar sight of kites flying beneath sunny, windswept afternoon skies. More than a new summer check-in destination, the event symbolises the aspirations of the coastal city of Da Nang to rise higher and reach further.
Another entirely new experience making its first appearance at the Festival is the Seaside Soirée of Lights (19:00–22:00, July 24–26, 2026, the beach north of East Sea Park). Amid the romantic setting of the sea at night, artistic lighting, music and local cuisine come together to offer visitors moments of relaxation, connection and emotion.
More than simply an entertainment activity, the programme represents a new nighttime tourism product that Da Nang hopes will become a distinctive feature of the city’s summer seasons in the years ahead.
This year, the Enjoy Danang Festival 2026 places visitors at the heart of the celebration, opening up a journey through Da Nang across many different shades of emotion.
Visitors can begin their mornings by joining Catching the Rhythm of the Dawn Fish Market alongside local fishermen (05:00–08:00, July 23–25, 2026, Man Thai Beach); experience Meditation: A Touch of Stillness (18:30–20:30, July 25, 2026, Linh Ung Pagoda); and embrace the peaceful yet invigorating atmosphere of the early-morning sea through yoga, breathing meditation and sun salutations during Greet the Sunrise, Feel the Energy of the Sea (05:00, July 26, 2026, East Sea Park).
Visitors can also take part in Explore Son Tra – Connect with Nature (July 22–26, 2026, Son Tra Peninsula); enjoy a vibrant and distinctive artistic atmosphere by the sea during the Nightly Art Programme (19:00–22:30, July 24–25, 2026, East Sea Park); and immerse themselves in the Seaside EDM Entertainment Space (18:00–22:30, July 24–26, 2026, My Khe Beach). Through these experiences, every visitor can discover their own unique “touchpoint” with Da Nang.
Beyond on-site activities, the Enjoy Danang Festival 2026 also integrates technology into the visitor experience through the Digital Journey to Explore Da Nang. Through interactive challenges at destinations, Festival spaces and across Da Nang tourism’s digital platforms, visitors are offered a new way to discover the city — youthful, modern and full of excitement.
This initiative also represents a new step in Da Nang’s development of smart tourism, enhancing interaction and enabling more personalised visitor experiences.
The festive atmosphere will extend across the city through a series of community art programmes, beach sports and nighttime entertainment activities. From traditional artistic spaces and contemporary music to marine sporting events, each programme contributes to a colourful summer panorama in which visitors of all ages can find experiences suited to their interests.
The sporting activities include the Marine Sports Performance (16:00, July 23, 2026, the beach at East Sea Park); the Barefoot Beach Run (05:00, July 26, 2026, My Khe Beach); the Da Nang Beach Soccer Tournament 2026 (16:00, July 22–26, 2026, My Khe Beach); and the Son Tra SUP Race (05:00, July 25–26, 2026, Man Thai Beach).
Running alongside the Festival is the Da Nang Summer Tour Programme (June–August 2026), together with summer tourism stimulus programmes and a new network of tours and experiential routes connecting the city centre with ecological, cultural and heritage areas.
Journeys exploring cuisine, nature, the sea and islands, traditional craft villages, heritage and local communities will continue to enrich visitors’ experiences beyond the Festival, contributing to the diversification of tourism products and the expansion of the tourism landscape of the new Da Nang city.
Bringing the Enjoy Danang Festival 2026 to a close is the “Relive the Moments of Da Nang” Programme, held on the evening of July 26, 2026, at East Sea Park. The programme is designed as a journey looking back on the memorable highlights and beautiful emotions created throughout the five days of the Festival.
Through a musical space combining orchestral music with traditional and contemporary instruments, artistic performances, a community ceremony around the campfire and a vibrant DJ programme, the closing night strengthens the connection between visitors and the city. Every beautiful moment experienced in Da Nang is not only preserved but also becomes a promise to return for future Festival seasons.
