For the first time, Vietnam has the opportunity to host a world-class golf tournament, and Hoiana Shores Golf Club—ranked among the top 100 golf courses worldwide—is honored to be chosen as the venue for the prestigious Women’s Amateur Asia-Pacific Championship.
Hoiana Shores Golf Club – Top 100 golf course worldwide
The Women’s Amateur Asia-Pacific Championship will take place from March 6 to March 9, 2025, featuring 95 golfers from 24 countries and territories. Organized by Royal & Ancient (R&A), the governing body of global golf, this seventh edition of the tournament marks a significant milestone for Vietnam’s golf scene.
As the host nation, Vietnam will be represented by six players: Le Chuc An, Nguyen Viet Gia Han, Anna Le, Arena Tran, Nguyen Vu Hoang Anh, and Nguyen Bao Chau. Notably, Nguyen Bao Chau, at just 12 years old, is the youngest competitor in the tournament.
Developed by The R&A and the Asia-Pacific Golf Confederation, the championship aims to unearth emerging talent and provide a pathway for Asia’s elite female amateurs to the international stage. The winner, after 72 holes of stroke play at Hoiana Shores Golf Club, will earn starts in three major championships: AIG Women’s Open, Amundi Evian Championship, The Chevron Championship.
Additionally, the champion will receive invitations to elite tournaments, including: Hana Financial Group Championship, ISPS HANDA Women’s Australian Open, The 122nd Women’s Amateur Championship, Augusta National Women’s Amateur.
The event brings together 95 golfers from 24 countries and territories
