EXHIBITION EVENTS IN MARCH AT THE DA NANG MUSEUM OF FINE ARTS
The Da Nang Museum of Fine Arts will present a series of remarkable exhibitions in March, honoring significant cultural and historical milestones.
1. Thematic Exhibition: “The Beauty of Women”
To commemorate the 115th anniversary of International Women’s Day (March 8, 1910 – March 8, 2025), the 1985th anniversary of the Hai Ba Trung Uprising, and International Day of Happiness (March 20, 2025), we proudly announce the thematic exhibition “The Beauty of Women.”
This exhibition showcases 32 outstanding artworks from the “Houei” painting collection, donated and loaned by Mr. Toyokichi Itoh of Sun Lease Co., Ltd. in 2020. It emphasizes the diverse portrayals of women through art.
These exceptional pieces utilize various materials and techniques such as oil painting, pastel, graphic arts, silk, and watercolor, created by renowned artists, including Tú Duyên, Linh Chi, Tô Liên, Dương Bích Liên, Dương Hướng Minh, Minh Mỹ, Lê Huy Hòa, and more between 1955 and 1999. The exhibition features portrayals of women—from elegant young ladies and gentlewomen amidst flowers to industrious mothers and wives engaged in labor and combat—each exuding grace and strength. This celebrates women’s indispensable roles and their significant contributions to Vietnamese society.
