DA NANG IS PROMOTING AT JAPAN’S LARGEST TOURISM FAIR – TOURISM EXPO JAPAN 2024.
Tokyo, Japan (September 26, 2024)
Recognized as one of the world’s largest tourism fairs, Tourism EXPO Japan has been an annual fixture since 2014. The 2024 edition is anticipated to draw over 180,000 visitors and 1,200 exhibitors from 80 countries and territories. It will showcase various activities, including business networking (B2B), tourism seminars, destination press conferences, and public exhibitions.
The 36-square-meter Danang FantastiCity & Vietnam Airlines booth, strategically located at R-197 within the Asia destination area, is a crucial point of attraction alongside tourism booths representing Thailand, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
The booth’s ceremonial ribbon-cutting was conducted on Thursday, September 26, 2024. The esteemed ceremony was graced by the presence of Mr. Nguyen Duc Minh – Minister Counselor of the Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Japan, Mr. Ito Kazuhiro, Director of the International Center at the Japan Association of Travel Agents (JATA), Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoai An, Deputy Director of Da Nang Department of Tourism, as well as distinguished representatives from Vietnam Airlines and associated businesses.
The Danang FantastiCity & Vietnam Airlines booth is not just a place to showcase and provide information about Da Nang tourism and Vietnam Airlines – Vietnam’s national airline, including Danang Mikazuki Japanese Resort & Spa, Southern Breeze Joint Stock Company, New Orient Hotel Danang, and Kajin Vina Travel Company. It’s also a hub of excitement, with engaging events such as a lucky draw for guests, check-in photo opportunities with souvenirs, and other fun activities.
As a testament to our unwavering commitment, the leadership of the Da Nang Department of Tourism will engage in a comprehensive work program. This program includes crucial meetings with representatives from the Japan Association of Travel Agents (JATA), HANKYU Travel International, and media partners. The aim is to enhance promotions, focusing on beach resorts, cultural tourism, MICE tourism, luxury golf, and educational tourism…
Japan remains a traditional and stable tourist market for Da Nang. In the first eight months of 2024, the number of Japanese visitors reached 121,000, a significant increase compared to the total number of Japanese visitors for 2023. This growth underscores the potential of the Japanese market for Da Nang. Currently, Vietnam Airlines operates the Narita – Da Nang route with a frequency of 7 flights per week.
